Rwanda Building Collapse 2013 Today Kills 6 in Nyagatare

ST LOUIS (LALATE) – A Rwanda building collapse today 2013 has killed six in Nyagatare. Officials report that a Rwanda building under construction killed six persons in the eastern district of Nyagatare today May 15, 2013 leaving as many as twenty-one injured.

Search and rescue efforts are still underway. Rwandan military forces are helping in the search. Local officials call today’s building collapse an “unfolding tragedy.” Rwandan minister Seraphine Mukantabana, the Minister of Disaster Management, says officials are unsure how many people could be trapped inside the rubble. They believe that only construction workers were inside at the time. “The tentative information we have indicates that debris fell on about 100 people,” Mukantabana said in a news statement.

Victims are being treated in hospitals in Kigali and Nyagatare. “Six people working on the site died as the result of the building collapse,” Rwanda’s police said in a news statement.

“The search and rescue mission…has been completed and the site is clear.” Initial reports of one hundred persons inside have been since been confirmed as false. “The rescue operation is over, we are now removing the debris,” local police chief Eric Mutsinzi told news. The name of building’s owner has yet to be indicated to news. Officials have yet to determine a cause for the building’s collapse.

Bride Saves Guest with CPR During Wedding

LOS ANGELES (LALATE) – A bride saved a guest with CPR during her wedding. And now she tell news that the guest is expected to make a full recovery. The amazing story ignited British news this week following an interview with Russell Cox and his bride Kylie.

Kylie is proud that she has become known as the bridge who saved her guest during her wedding. Her profession is all about helping those in need. Kylie is a staff nurse and was her bridesmaid during the wedding. Kylie invited several medical personnel to her wedding reception. Nearly two hundred were in attendance. But shortly during the reception, one of her friends asked for a dance.

That’s when the trouble erupted. She told the Mirror “Our friend asked me for a dance, but while we were on the dance floor, he complained of feeling faint.” She paused and suddenly the male collapsed on the dance floor. She immediately began to give him CPR. Meantime, other friends in attendance aided the situation. The bridesmaid helped with chest compressions.

Eventually, the guest was rushed to the hospital. And both the bride and groom joined him. After that, she got the great news “The doctors told us it was a miracle he survived.” Now the couple are hoping to host a second reception to celebrate their marriage and their friend’s survival.

Ponytail Stunt Death Strikes Sailendra Nath Roy

ST LOUIS (LALATE) – A ponytail stunt death has struck Sailendra Nath Roy. The peculiar ponytail stunt death left spectators in shock. Among them were Roy’s family. Now, even more troubling, death photos of Sailendra Nath Roy hanging by his hair has been posted to Indian news sites. Funeral arrangements have not been announced to news.

Roy was already a Guinness World Record holder. Roy held the title for traveling the farthest distance on a zip wire using hair. But over the weekend, Sailendra Nath Roy went to an bridge overpass crossing the River Teesta, in West Bengal.

Local government reps, however, tell news that Roy did not get permission for the stunt. There were no medical personnel on scene. A source tells BBC “His wife used to urge him to quit doing dangerous stunts. Mr. Roy convinced her that crossing the Teesta river would be his last. Unfortunately, that became his last stunt.”

Roy was suspended by 180 meets above water during the stunt. But at the halfway point, something went wrong. He suddenly began to get tangled in his own hair. He tried to move forward and grab a second rope. But then, twenty minutes into the terror, Roy became motionless and remained hanging by his hair. Roy was transported to a local area hospital when he was confirmed death.

What caused Sailendra Nath Roy’s death? Officials confirm Roy’s cause of death as a heart attack. They contend that the panic about the stunt caused Roy to have a heart attack. “Preliminary investigations suggest that Roy suffered an heart attack caused by a nervous breakdown after remaining suspended for several minutes,” said B.R. Satpathi, head of West Bengal state’s medical services, in a news statement.

Higgs Boson Found, God Particle Discovered by CERN

Higgs Boson Found, God Particle Confirms Testing

ST LOUIS (LALATE) – A Higgs Boson has been found by researchers after testing in 2012 suggested discovery of the God Particle. On July 4 of last year, the European Organization for Nuclear Research (CERN) briefed news about their findings. They at that time stopped short of proclaiming that the Higgs Boson was found. But today, that changed.

The Higgs bosom was first put forward in theories in the 1960s by Scottish physicist Peter Higg. Since then, ATLAS and CMS efforts have been examining findings inside the $10 billion Large Hadron Collider.
In July last year, researchers refused to confirm the finding of the God Particle or Higgs Boson. They said the evidence that they had found was suggestive of a Higgs existing, without seeing it.

They further said that they have found was the footprint of the key particle that comprises a Higgs boson. At the time, CERN spokesman James Gillies explained the complexity. He said the findings were comparable to finding a fossilized imprint of a dinosaur.

Today those same researchers from inside the Large Hadron Collider (LHC), between Switzerland and France, said the data “strongly indicates that it is a Higgs boson.” The Large Hadron Collider runs seventeen miles between the two countries. “To me it is clear that we are dealing with a Higgs boson, though we still have a long way to go to know what kind of Higgs boson it is,” said Joe Incandela of CERN said in a news statement today.

Medieval Knight Found Under Edinburgh Parking Lot

LOS ANGELES (LALATE) – A medieval knight has been found underneath a Edinburgh parking lot. Additionally, the medieval knight has been found just weeks after the remains of Richard III were discovered under a Leicester parking lot.

Last month, Dr Jo Appleby, an osteo-archaeologist from the university’s School of Archaeology and Ancient History, told news that the skeleton remains of Richard II were found under a city parking lot in Leicaster. The bones had traceable DNA on them. So researchers found a 7th-generation descendant of Richard’s sister to help in DNA matching.

Now archeologist Ross Murray of the University of Edinburgh has found the remains of a medieval knight under a parking lot as well. The remains were found when digging began for the construction of the new Edinburgh Centre for Carbon Innovation.

Murray tells news that he was shocked by the discovery. BBC reports the researchers already knew that the dig location was the site of an “18th Century Old High School, the 16th Century Royal High School and the 13th Century Blackfriars Monastery.”

But when Headland Archaeology. found a grave stone, a cross, skeleton remains and more, they were shocked. “This find has the potential to be one of the most significant and exciting archaeological discoveries in the city for many years” said Richard Lewis, the Edinburgh Council culture convener, in a news statement this week.

ECCI director Andy Kerr told the Daily Mail news that “We always knew that the building retrofit might uncover historical artefacts, given the site’s history – but this knight is an extraordinary and exciting find.” Kerr added “We want our new building to play a key role in shaping Scotland’s future, as these historical buildings on this site did in their time.”

600-Year-Old Coin Found in Kenyan Island of Manda

ST LOUIS (LALATE) – A 600-year-old coin has been found in the Kenyan Island of Manda. The coin is believed to be from the Ming Dynasty, officials tell news.

In a news briefing this week, the Field Museum and the University of Illinois at Chicago reported that the coin carries a historic significance. First, the coin is believed to been issued by China’s Emperor Yongle Second, the coin is believed to have been worn on a belt. Third, it is one of the most convincing pieces of evidence of trade between China and east Africa at the time, officials tell news.

In a news statement, officials explained that Emperor Yongle had sent Admiral Zheng He to explore Kenya. “Zheng He was, in many ways, the Christopher Columbus of China,” Chapurukha M. Kusimba, the museum’s curator of African Anthropology, said Wednesday. “It’s wonderful to have a coin that may ultimately prove he came to Kenya.”

The coin supports evidence of trade between China and East Africa, especially in the decades after AD 1403-1425. Chapurukha Kusimba of the museum and Sloan Williams of the University of Illinois-Chicago headed the expedition. The effort was aided by scientists from Kenya, Pennsylvania and Ohio. The coin features copper and silver and would have been worn from a non ceremonial belt.
