ST LOUIS (LALATE) – Powerball winning numbers for November 26, 2014 results tonight have surged to $80 million, officials tell news. There was no Powerball winner last Saturday. So the draw rolled over. Tonight’s draw is one of the biggest in recent weeks. And the results will be announced to news just after 11 pm EST tonight.
Powerball winning number for this week follows a slow Saturday draw. There was no jackpot winner. There was one Match Five two million dollar Power Play winner from Puerto Rico. And there was a single Match Five one million dollar winner from Florida. Officials tell news that there “were no jackpot winners Saturday, but 406,191 players across the nation won more than $5.4 Million in prizes in America’s Game.” Meantime one man is celebrating his Thanksgiving with a big prize.
Officials tell news that “a northwest Iowa man checked his Powerball ticket on the lottery’s website and had a tough time believing what he saw.” David Miller of Sergeant Bluff tells new this week that he found out he had won over the internet. “Just happened to be on the computer one day and I looked on the (lottery’s) website and figured, ‘I got that number, I got that number, I got that number. ‘And then I had to check it about a hundred times because I didn’t believe it.”
The seventy year old picked up thirty dollars. Because he had paid one dollar for the Power Play option, his prize was raised from ten thousand dollars to thirty thousand dollars. “The winning numbers in that night’s $202.6 million jackpot drawing were: 9-19-33-38-54 and Powerball 15. The Power Play number was 3. One ticket sold in Missouri won the jackpot in that drawing. Saturday’s jackpot is an estimated $70 million”, officials tell news. They add “Miller purchased his winning ticket at Sergeant Bluff Pump N Pak, 200 First St. in Sergeant Bluff. He claimed his prize Tuesday at the lottery’s regional office in Council Bluffs. Miller, who works for American Family Insurance®, said he plans to save a majority of his winnings.” For live score results tonight click HERE.
