ST LOUIS (LALATE) – Mega Millions winning numbers for September 19, 2014 results tonight have surged to $72 million dollars. They are carrying a forty-one million dollar cash value as well. There was no Mega Millions winner last Tuesday. So will there be one tonight? The latest Mega Millions results will be announced to news just after 11 pm EST tonight.
The latest Mega Millions results follows a year with some big payouts. In August, Lottery Executive Director Sil Lutkewitte delivered a winning payment of “$86,755,350 to Mr. Szott, holder of the single jackpot-winning ticket from that drawing. Szott was accompanied by his wife and several family members.” It was a history announcement for the state. “I’m very glad to introduce Carl Szott as the Pennsylvania Lottery’s very first Mega Millions jackpot winner,” said Lutkewitte. “This jackpot is also the fifth-largest prize in Pennsylvania Lottery history.”
Szott tells news that he was in shock initially. “Fortunately, I was pulled off the road when I heard the numbers. As it sunk in that I had won, I immediately said a few prayers.” Officials add “Since the Pennsylvania Lottery joined the multi-state game in early 2010, Mega Millions and Megaplier sales have generated more than $164.5 million in proceeds to support benefits for older Pennsylvanians”. The winning numbers when announced will be released HERE.
