Clive Davis made it official. Whitney Houston’s first original album since 2002 will drop this holiday season.

But Davis promises her tracks will be Whitney styled, rather than depart her sound to conform with current music trends.

“We’re on track for a holiday release,” Davis told Billboard’s Music & Money Symposium, according to Reuters. “We’re not going to compromise who she is to fit into today’s hip-hop radio market. The public wants Whitney material.”

Davis says four have been done and four more will be finished this month. “Songs have been produced and written by BLACK EYED PEAS singer WILL.I.AM, songwriter SEAN GARRETT and R&B singer AKON” reports the Insider.

will.i.am will be joining Twentieth Century Fox’so “X-Men Origins: Wolverine.”

Also joining the cast … Ryan Reynolds.

He will play John Wraith, “a mutant who has the power to teleport, and is another test subject of the Weapon X program that created Wolverine and other mercenaries. It would be his first film role.”
