MTV confirms Whitney Port’s new reality show is “The City”. Whitney Port’s “The City” will be a spinoff of “The Hills” in New York City. Whitney Port’s MTV reality show with Diane von Furstenberg has been the worse kept secret of reality tv this year with people even spotting filming by Port in New York.

Port will take a new job in New York City with designer Diane von Furstenberg.

Says MTV today:

“Surrounded by all new friends, pursuing a fresh love life and starting to work in the upper echelon of the fashion industry is a lot to navigate for a new girl in the big city… especially one who has everything to lose. In a city full of people with their own agendas, Whitney will have to quickly decide who she can trust and who to stay away from.”

Palermo is hardly known to the West Coast. But she gave a killer quote today through her publicist that sounds reverse Hilton-like.While Paris Hilton is casting people to be her friend on HER reality show for MTV, Palermo is quick to deny reports that she would suddenly become Whitney Port’s friend for money to appear on Port’s reality show.

Whitney Port is launching Eve & A, a 17-piece young contemporary line for fall 2008 reports Women’s Wear Daily magazine.

Price range will be $40 to $250. Her dad Jeff’s apparel company Swarm will back the line.
