LOS ANGELES (LALATE) – Violet Kowal, alleged ex girlfriend of Mel Gibson, says he was scary. Violet Kowal (pictures below) tells news this weekend that Gibson was never physically violent person towards her, but at times left her completely scare.

Kowal has opened up progressively about her relationship with Mel Gibson, a relationship Gibson says never happened, first in two magazine interviews; but this weekend, Kowal for the first time gave her thoughts about Oksana Grigorieva’s claims Gibson struck his baby’s mama.

Kowal told Fox News’ “Geraldo At Large” that Gibson never touched her violently. She adds that at first her relationship with Gibson was perfectly fine and that the actor was even “caring”.

“[He was a] loving, caring person… In the beginning of the relationship everything was perfectly fine”. She claims she dated Gibson after he broke up with Oksana. “He never talked about Oksana or the baby. It was like they weren’t in his life.”

Violet Kowal said that Gibson never hurt her, a claim Oksana has made about the actor. But Kowal, without much explanation, says later on Gibson because verbally abusive and made her scared.

Violet Kowal says of Gibson “He was very abusive… He called me up screaming at me and said he would make me suffer. I was so scared of him. It was a huge emotional experience for me. I was close to going to the police.”

UPDATE:  Kowal also appears in the new InTouch Magazine. She tells InTouch “His [Gibson's] threats [against her life] scared me so badly.  I left town and went into hiding for almost a month…He would get very aggressive and angry if I was not available even yelling and demanding to come to my home when I refused to see him.”

Violet Kowal claims that she was in a three month affair with Gibson while he was dating Oksana Grigorieva.

Gibson’s attorney reportedly not only denies the claim but calls the woman’s statements “an absurd fabrication”.

In April 2009, Gibson and then wife Robyn divorced after 28 years of marriage. He thereafter revealed the couple had been separated for three years.

Gibson would then confirm media reports that Oksana Grigorieva was on his label Icon Records. Gibson said the two met after Oksana Grigorieva joined his label as a singer and pianist in 2008.

Back in April her previous agent said of Oksana: “She’ll never give up with her music. She loves it.”
