LAGUNA BEACH (LALATE) – Lauren Conrad and Steven Colletti are ready for the MTV Hills Finale and reunion. Steven Colletti’s appearance as Lauren Conrad boyfriend, off and on, became one of the most memorable storyline of the Hills. And yet friends of the two reveal to local news that they are as close as ever and excited about the finale.

Stephanie Pratt tells news this week “I’ll miss going to film at cafes with my best friend Lo [Bosworth].The cast has the best time.We enjoy each other so much and we have so many inside jokes.”

Pratt says she spent Fourth of July weekend with LC and Colletti “I just spent Fourth of July at Lauren’s house in Laguna Beach.
I drove down on Saturday and spent the whole weekend with her and Lo. Dieter [Schmitz] from ‘Laguna Beach’ was there, Stephen [Colletti] was there, all her Laguna friends.”

Pratt says  LC, Lo and Stephen, and her are still close.

In fall 2007, news weren’t sure if LC was getting back with Stephen despite being depicted as dating Brody Jenner on the show at the time. By February 2008, Hayden Panettiere turned to Seventeen magazine to explain her breakup with Steven.

“I just knew I wanted to breathe. I wanted to be single at the time. It just hit me like a ton of bricks: This is the time I need to be with myself. It takes such a secure person to be with someone like me—it takes so much confidence; it takes so much trust.”

LOS ANGELES (LALATE) – The Hills series Finale is next week. The Hills Finale will be followed with a Reunion Show featuring Lauren Conrad.

LALATE, and most fans, correctly predicted the Hills would not survive with an exited Lauren Conrad. Now, one year after Lauren Conrad announced her exit, the show is coming to an end. For fans of the show, LALATE included, the Hills seems to miss a step in later years.

Conrad told fans in June last year her decision to leave was bittersweet. “Last night was my last episode of “The Hills”. It was a bittersweet night for me. A part of me is sad to say goodbye to something that has been such a prominent part of my life, but I know that it was time and I am very happy with my decision.

“I want to take this opportunity to thank everyone who has watched and supported me over the years. While putting my personal relationships and struggles on television wasn’t always easy, the support I received from people made such a difference. Because of all of you, I was able to accomplish so many aspirations and for that I am very grateful. So, THANK YOU EVERYONE!!!

“I have some interesting projects in the works and I will keep you all updated.”

Those interesting projects became blockbusters. Lauren Conrad’s book L.A. Candy was a massive hit, now set to an upcoming film. L.A. Candy, a semi-autobiographical, became a New York Times Best-Seller. “We’re hoping for a movie deal. I’m working on [adapting the book for the movies] right now, but I don’t want to commit to anything until I see all my options. We have had a lot of exciting news in that respect, though.”

The book is the first of a three part series.

VIDEO! Here is The Hills Final Season trailer video. The Hills Final Season should have been 1-2 seasons ago. In fact, many LALATE readers have problems remembering if the final season is the 5th, 6th, or 7th season.

With Lauren Conrad gone, the show was dependent on people like Stephanie Pratt and Lo Bosworth to help carry the cast. But did they?

In fact, Audrina Patridge tells MTV that she is sad it is all coming to an end. But was there anything remotely interesting about Audrina the last two years?

“It’s sad! We’ve been together for so long. I’m going to be 25 this year, so that’s been my life for the last five years. And it’s sad to let go of that, because it’s something that I’ve become so used to, and it’s so easy and natural. But at the same time, it’s nice to graduate, and I’m ready to move on and do the next big thing.”

MTV’s The Hills is coming to an end. MTV The Hills will end with season 6, the series canceled, confirms MTV today. The Hills once was the darling of supermarket magazine newsstands. Now it’s faded with Lauren Conrad having moved on, LC with a successful book series and clothing line.

The last episode will begin April 27 at 10 PM EST. 12 episodes will air. The season will cover Audrina Patridge dating singer Ryan Cabrera (yawn) and Kristin Cavallari confronting Super Bowl rumors (double yawn) and Heidi Montag talking about her plastic surgery (who cares).

And will Lauren Conrad return for the final episode? Of course she will because nothing revealed in today’s The Hills report sounds even the least bit interesting for 1 episode, let alone 12 episodes.

Audrina Patridge talks about plastic surgery in Maxim. But Audrina doesn’t reveal much. In fact Hills’ Cavallari won’t comment about it either.

When Kristin Cavallari was asked about Patridge today by US, the following exchange kicked in:

“What does she think of Patridge’s drastic transformation since the first season of The Hills? Cavallari laughed.

” “I’m not commenting on her plastic surgery,” she told Us.”

“Dramatic transformation?”

Patridge herself confronts questions about plastic surgery indirectly in her recent Maxim spread. When Maxim asked Audrina what’s the craziest story she’s heard about herself, she says

“That I have chin implants, cheek implants, a nose job … God, everything.”

She also dishes on the following other crazy rumor:

“I took my brother out one night, and he was my boyfriend the next day. I went out with a cousin another night, then he was my boyfriend. Someone also said I was pregnant with somebody’s love child. I was like, ‘Do I look pregnant?’”
