Tamra Barney, Simon Barney Divorce Caused by Vicki Gunvalson?

LOS ANGELES (LALATE) – Why did Tamra Barney and Simon Barney divorce, and did Vicki Gunvalson cause Tamra Barney and Simon Barney to break up? New allegations about the same strike Real Housewives of Orange County next week. The above photo is taken from that tense moment when Tamra and Simon decided to divorce in the limo on way to the final scene of RHOC 2010.
Last year, LALATE exclusively reported that former RHOC cast member Lauri Peterson would be returning to the show this season. And next Monday Lauri returns to RHOC with a stunning allegation. Or is the allegation much already believed by longtime viewers?
Lauri Peterson tells Tamra Barney that she believes Vicki Gunvalson caused Tamra and Simon’s divorce. The preview for next week’s episode shows Tamra rolling her eyes when she hears the remark.

As longtime viewers of the show recall, tensions were existing between Vicki and Simon during his final season and year of marriage to Tamra. At the time, Vicki was having problems with her own marriage off and on with Donn.
Back in March 2010, LALATE reported that the finale of that season of RHOC would feature Tamra and Simon on way in a limo to the show’s final episode. And in the limo, Tamra will ask for a divorce. After that episode aired, Tamra tweeted “Next season NO CRYING”. At the time, local news reported the same. “Tamra is expected to drop a bombshell in the season five finale, which airs Thursday, March 4 at 10 p.m. The bombshell is expected to be the announcement of her (pending) divorce from Simon.”

It was clear to viewers at the time that Vicki greatly disliked Simon and even shielded Tamra from Simon even in the finale episode. But throughout the entire season, it was also clear that Tamra and Simon were heading to divorce because of their own problems unrelated to Vicki.
Yet Lauri has her own take on the situation. Lauri says of Vicki “She was so unhappy that she wanted everyone else to be unhappy, misery loves company.”
