And it’s not even the weekend. Steve – how many are there?

In fact, a new report in the Post says that Philips told the Mets that had been “having a ‘brief consensual relationship’ with the woman [Rodriguez] and having ‘consensual … relations’ with other women during his marriage.”

Why Marni Phillips didn’t divorce Steve Phillips in the 1990s is not clear. But now 11 years later, she is finally do it.

Not only did Steve Phillips’ ESPN affair cause terror to his wife, it did so for at least his teenage son who was stalked allegedly by Brooke Hundley, on Facebook and AOL.com instant messaging.

A police incident report details what Steve’s son endured:

“He went on to explain that on 8/19/09 after the incident in the driveway with his mother and Brooke he received another instant message from Riotgirr4life. The message explained that she had gone to their house to see how nice it was and got scared when his mother pulled into the driveway. She panicked and accidentally hit her car into the stone pillar in the driveway…. [He] explained that at that point he knew that this was not .. and must be Brooke. He did not answer her and blocked her account. He then added that this whole thing made him suspicious and he noticed that he actually had two …. accounts on his Facebook.com page. He then realized the second one appeared to be a falsified page created by someone. He noticed that the account actually had no information on it and that he was the only friend listed on her page. He felt that Brooke actually took the identity of … to obtain access to his Facebook page. “

ESPN has put Phillips on a leave of absence. “We were aware of this and took appropriate discipline at the time.”

Steve Phillips’ Rosa Rodriguez affair has some similarities to this week’s revealed Brooke Hundley scandal. In both cases, Phillips asked for a leave after the story broke. In both cases, they were coworkers. Rosa Rodriguez worked in the Mets Florida offices. In fact, she sued Phillips and the Mets for sexual harassment.

Moreover, in both cases, the spin is on how “brief” the affairs were. Phillips told the Mets he had a “brief, consensual relationship”. “Brief” is the same word that the Phillips uses to describe Steve’s situation with Hundley to cops, stressing it was only three times.

And the affairs don’t stop there. Phillips admitted to the Mets that he had “consensual … relationships” with “other women” while married, reports the Post.

“I met Brooke Hundley for the first time on July 13th in St Louis, MO. She is a production assistant for remote game productions for ESPN. For the first time I met her in St Louis over a three week span I had a total of three … encounters with her. Those were the only three times I spent any time alone with her.“

Phillips then details a trip to Los Angeles:

“On Monday August 17 while I was in LA I received a text from Brooke Hundley apologizing for what she done on Sunday and wishing that I wouldn’t ignore her so she could explain her actions. Later on Monday I got a text that said “I sincerely hope you have a great show”. The extreme swing of her emotions and communications were very alarming. I did not respond to her text in any way.”

PHOTOS! Here again are pictures in the ESPN Steve Phillips scandal now in day 3. The Steve Phillips affair scandal is en route to having more news shelf-life than the Rick Pitino Affair.

One of the reasons is with each day that passes, more details emerge about the affair that Phillips called “brief” and just three times. The latest today are new court papers that Hundley wrote in attempt to seek a restraining order against Phillips.

While many are still trying to find answers as to what Phillips found attractive in Hundley, a new document claims that he pursued her.

The handwritten document by Hundley read “Steve brought me a strong drink and then cornered me with coming out of the bathroom with no one in sight trying to persuade me to come to his hotel suite to spend the night.”

She continued:

“Finally I gave in and agreed to see him a few times in parking lots .. then he began to spread word that i was just the office sl –t “

In August this years, Phillips’ wife Marni said she was very concerned for the safety of her and her children.

“On Sunday August 16 my husband called me from Atlanta and told me to brace myself because she was threatening to call me and disclose intimate details of their affair. .. The tone of the text message [she sent] was “I care about Steve, I make him happy and we both can’t have him”. “

“At this point I began to feel a heightened sense of vulnerability as this woman was aware of my husband’s rigorous travel schedule. I was unable to sleep. I paced the perimeter of my house, constantly checking the safety of my sons.“

Marni Phillips ends her statement about Brooke Hundley as follows:

“Needless to say, as a mother with four young sons, I am terrified. I fear greatly for the safety and well being of my sons and for myself. … I am currently pursuing drastic and costly security precautions such as hiring an off duty Wilton Police officer to stand guard. “

When asked about Kate Lacey, Jane said she “can’t” comment. Can’t?

The Post reports today that Lacey and Berson have found “romance together”. But the source of the ESPN romance report is reportedly an “ESPN source”.

Lacey without naming David confirms to press simply “I’m in an ongoing and known relationship with a peer.” Berson is Vice President of Programming, Lacey is Senior Vice President of Marketing.

During the undated interview, Lacey is asked about the challenge going forward for tv sports programming as more users turn to the net to get sports updates. Lacey says its critical to understand that many consumers have two screens on at the same time – their laptop and tv, as she puts it.

“That is the challenge.We think about it how do we program … I’m watching Monday Night Football while I have my laptop here…Our challenge as we go forward and one of things we are very focused on is how we program …. so that we don’t think about these users in two different areas…. So many consumers are using both screens at the same time.”

And as of sunrise Wednesday, it was also no longer a secret to American baseball fans. Steve Phillips’ story with Brooke Hundley is unlike other major media reported affair of 2009 – allegations of stalking Phillips’ son on Facebook and AOL.com, allegations of phone stalking Phillips’ wife Marni with a casted phone caller from Craigslist.

It was very clear this was not your ordinary mistress story.

When finally over two dozen pictures of Brooke Hundley came out, people began to question why Phillips was cheating? Why did Phillips specifically cheat with Hundley? That question may never be answered. Steve Phillips is not explaining either, issuing a statement about his affair with the ESPN production member as simply: “I am deeply sorry that I have put my family and colleagues through this. It is a personal matter that I will not comment on further.”

He’s upset because I told him I was going to tell you everything, but it’s important that you know this. We text all day when he’s at work and talk via hotel phones on the road.”

Brooke Hundley allegedly hired Courtney Arp via Craiglist to be “Kelly Burns” and call Steve Phillips’ wife Marni. Courtney Arp’s Kelly Burns telephone stalker character was allegedly provided by Hundley, reveals Arp to press Thursday.

LALATE exclusively revealed to you Wednesday some of the alleged Facebook and AOL.com instant messaging antics of Brooke Hundley against the Phillips family. Now news Thursday that once Hundley felt Marni Phillips knew her voice, she turned to Craiglist to cast her next character – Kelly Burns.

The job posting by the ESPN production assistant was listed as an “urgent job”. The price for the services? A mere 50 bucks. Courtney Arp took the role.

If you are keeping a running list of the number of identities Hundley is accused of assuming to contact the Phillips family after Steve Phillips dumped her, it appears to now be three or four – two on Facebook, one on AOL.com, and now one through Craiglist …. a nd it’s only 24 hours into the story.

As broke Wednesday on LALATE, a Wilton police incident report explains how Hundley was accused of using different Facebook indentities and one AOL.com personality to contact the Phillips teenage son:

“The officer then interviewed [Steve and Marni Phillips' son]… [He] explained that he was first contacted by an American Online Instant Message from Riotgirr4life about three weeks ago. She identified herself as …. who was a classmate of his from …. High School. He said that she would ask all personal questions about the family to include what kind of cars they drive, sports they play, and questions about his parents marital status. He said after time the question got even more awkward and personal. “

“…. He also recalled in the beginning of August he received several Facebook.com friend requests from a Brooke Hundley which he declined each time because he did not know who she was. “

“He went on to explain that on 8/19/09 after the incident in the driveway with his mother and Brooke [Hundley] he received another instant message from Riotgirr4life. The message explained that she had gone to their house to see how nice it was and got scared when his mother pulled into the driveway.”

While the details of Facebook alleged antics continued, as covered further on LALATE below, new details are revealed by press Thursday about Kelly Burns.

So what were some of the lines (and even directions) in the alleged phone stalker script?

“[Steve Phillips is cheating with a] young woman at our work …. if you want to catch them tonight, they are planning to meet after the show at 12:30ish in the Target parking lot of I-84 just down from work…. [make sure you] Pause and act like this is really hard for you to tell [Marni Phillips].”
