Stan Cadwallader, Jim Nabors Married in Washington
LOS ANGELES (LALATE) – Stan Cadwallader and Jim Nabors were married in December. Stan Cadwallader (picture below) and Jim Nabors have been together for 38 years. But the couple tells news that they got married late last year.
Stan Cadwallader met Jim Nabors in 1975, the actor tells Hawaii News Now. At the time, Cadwallader was a Honolulu firefighter. Over the next few years, Cadwallader began working for Nabors and eventually started dating the singer.
Nabors tells news that, even in the 1960s in Hollywood, he did not keep his social life a mystery from his friends. But he said he no intentions, then nor now, to become involved in the gay marriage debate. Nabors says that, while friends have known about the relationship with Stan for roughly four decades, the two decided not to discus their relationship with the media until today.
The actor tells news that recently him and Stan recently decided to marry. While still a resident of Hawaii, Nabors selected Washington State. The couple were married in December 2012 at a private ceremony at the Fairmont Olympic Hotel in Seattle. The marriage ceremony was reportedly conducted inside a hotel room with just a few friends present from Diamond Head.
He tells news “I haven’t ever made a public spectacle of it. Well, I’ve known since I was a child, so, come on. It’s not that kind of a thing. I’ve never made a huge secret of it at all.” He also added “This is really no big deal.
