Last season of RHOC, Rossi and co-star Tamra Barney revealed that they were done with years of dispute. Since then, Rossi, Barney, and Smiley’s business ventures have skyrocketed, with all the stars supporting the other’s endeavors. Barney along with Dr. Terry Dubrow has been among Smiley’s guests on the Los Angeles radio program.

The news follows the recent success of Rossi super new single, Unbreakable. First broke on LALATE, Unbreakable is one of the best singles ever to come out of the Bravo Housewives series. The song has been featured on rotation by 92.7. “Thanks to everyone for the amazing support of my new single #Unbreakable”, Rossi recently told news. “Thanks to all your requests it’s now in heavy rotation on @playlist92.7 FM!! Slade’s current work continues in marketing, consulting and brand development. Slade has handled brands like HBL/Enjoy Hair Care Products, HBL Magazine, and Asombroso Tequila and Armstrong Interactive Inc.

Slade joined Bravo in 2004 with their first Housewives series, Real Housewives of Orange County, during season one. Then engaged to Jo De La Rosa, Slade later appeared in the short-run spinoff Bravo series “Date My Ex”. By 2009, Slade rejoined RHOC is season five, following his relationship with Gretchen Rossi.

Gretchen Rossi told news today that she is ecstatic for Slade. “So happy for my Baby! Tune into today June 9th for the debut of Slade Smiley with “Radio Slade” from 12pm-3pm on Playlist 92.7 FM…. I’m so proud of you honey.”

To that, Gretchen fumes. “He didn’t say he made plans…. and by the way, he said the gift was already here. … last night I was sneaking around the house to find the gift.”

But while Rossi has been successful in her hunt for love, she wasn’t successful in her hunt for the secret gift. Slade states “Oh that’s bad, you don’t tell Gretchen [Rossi] there is a gift around the house.” Rossi agrees “When someone tells me there is a gift all night, I will find it… but you are good hide.” In the end, Rossi didn’t find the gift. During a brief gesture of his hands, Slade implies the gift will be delivered in a jewelry box.

So is the secret … an engagement ring? No word yet from the couple.

The biggest change for Gretchen Rossi and Slade Smiley this season will be Gretchen’s relationship with Tamra Barney. Last season, LALATE was critical of Bravo trying to evoke a faux feud between her and former enemy Tamra. Instead, beyond a trivial evil eye scene, the two never got at it, until the reunion show.

Throughout season six, producers found few tensions between Gretchen and Tamra, instead having to use ancillary storylines to default to in later episodes. But this season, Gretchen and Tamra are back together trying to be friends once again. That creates a tension for Alexis Bellino, who remains friends of Rossi but not of Tamra.

Last season on Orange County, producers tried to start the season with its core storyline – the renewed Tamra vs. Gretchen feud. But by mid season, the feud got no coverage, the two never interacted on cameras, the references to one another became nominal. Suddenly hideously boring subplots like Alexis Bellino’s fashion line and the romancing of Tamra Barney by Eddie Judge became dominant storylines.

But are Gretchen and Tamra … unbreakable? As reportedly exclusively on LALATE before, Gretchen is launching her latest single this season as well. The song Unbreakable will debut during the 2012 season. As detailed exclusively on LALATE, Rossi has teamed with Jean-Yves; in 2004 he was nominated at the Latin Grammys for Producer of The Year. His credits have included work with Carlos Santana, Tupac Shakur

Rossi this season inks closer to marrying Slade. But how does her relationship with Tamra impact her love life with Slade? Tamra was back calling Slade a deadbeat dad on last season’s finale. Even before the finale, Slade told news that Tamra allegedly had attempted to contact Grayson’s mother. “I am still very confused as to why Tamra thinks any of this is her business, and we find it very creepy she would reach out and have a conversation with someone she has never met.”

Gretchen last season said the trouble in Slade’s life is impacting her decision to marry Slade. “I feel like, until that is handled, we can’t move on. I don’t know what to do… I feel like I have been dealt a pretty hard hand.”

Vicki Gunvalson last season as well said “What are these job interviews Slade is going on? All he is doing is working for Gretchen….Slade didn’t show up the same day the press about the child support. What a coincidence. ”

With a new pink line of handbags, a new single being released, and a Las Vegas appearance, Rossi has a lot on her plate this season. But marriage may still be on the back burner.
