EXCLUSIVE – ST LOUIS (LALATE) – Shaq is possibly engaged to Hoopz aka Nicole Nikki Alexander. Shaq’s possible engagement to Hoopz (Flavor of Love, I Love Money) is revealed exclusively today to LALATE. For the first time ever, the business owner who saw it all happen identifies the woman who received the ring from Shaq.

“Yes. It was Nikki” reveals Sam David exclusively today.

David is owner of Sahara Mediterranean Cuisine. LALATE spoke with the fellow St Louis business owner today about reports that Shaq had put a ring on an unidentified female in the establishment on Monday. Today, LALATE provided David with pictures of Nicole Nikki Alexander from her Flavor of Love, I Love Money, and recent appearances.

David for first time reveals exclusively to LALATE that the woman Shaq put a ring on Monday was in fact Hoopz.

Sahara Mediterranean Cuisine and Hookah Lounge is a restaurant and hookah establishment in Bridgeton, MO. Bridgeton is a community near St Louis’ Lambert International Airport. David’s establishment on Natural Bridge Road was near closing at 11:30 pm on Monday. As few as three persons were in the place at time. At that point, David describes a custom vehicle pulling up, unlike anything you’ve ever seen. He thinks Shaq found his spot with a Navigation system.

“Within half an hour, the place was full.” “We had only had three or four guys in here [when Shaq arrived], we were closing.” David has no idea how word got out that Shaq was in a St Louis hookah spot. But within thirty minutes, STL fans were bustling to get in and see Shaq. David says his place stayed open for hours.

David confirms seeing, and hearing, what he believes was a possible proposal.

He adds respectfully “it’s their business”. “The lights were dim because of the atmosphere. He did put the ring on her. It did sound like a proposal.” “They were having fun. I guess he proposed to her.” “[And yes], it was Nicole [like] in the pictures.”

Bridgeton is a community west of St Louis’ Lambert International Airport. Shaq was in town last week for Cardinals Albert Pujols and Dee Dee Pujols’ 8th annual Pujols Family Foundation golf tournament.

On Monday night at 11:30 pm local time, Sam and Majdolin David, new owners of the Sahara Mediterranean Cuisine and Hookah Lounge in Bridgeton, had an unlikely visitor. They claim Shaq showed up with a party of three women and another man. In a report dubbed “Hookah Heaven”, Sam David tells the St Louis Post Dispatch’s Deb Peterson that he thinks Shaq proposed to his girlfriend that night.

“I think he may have proposed to his girlfriend. He brought a chair into the middle of the dance floor and he put a ring on her finger.”

David said he knew who Shaq was but didn’t recognize the woman receiving the ring. Peterson doesn’t indicate if she showed David a picture of Hoopz (Flavor of Love, I Love Money) for that interview. David says Shaq and Co were laughing and enjoyed dessert and hookah.

So was this hookah love Hoopz or a hookah error? It was days ago that LALATE cited a report that claimed that the two have been dating for “a few months”, have been to Las Vegas together and to Hoopz’s hometown of Alcoa, Tennessee. Hoopz previously battled tape scandal allegations following her reality tv series.

Hoopz earned $250,000 for her win of I Love Money, a reality tv appearance which followed up Flavor of Love. So could Shaq now be dating, or even engaged, to the former object of Flav Flavor’s attraction? Neither are speaking. But Hoopz said after winning the cash that “$250,000 is a lot of money but there’s more out there. I’m saving it all.”

LOS ANGELES (LALATE) – Is Hoopz dating Shaq?  Hoopz Nicole (Nikki) Alexander and Shaq O’Neal are dating claims a new report. The report claims Shaq (which it references as Shaquille ” O’Neil “) has been dating the former star of Flavor of Love and I Love Money for “a few months”. The report claims that the NBA star headed to Vegas for the reality star’s birthday and then allegedly to her hometown of Alcoa, Tennessee.

Alexander got the name Hoopz on Flavor of Love. LALATE first broke the spoiler that Hoopz would win that first season of the hit reality show. LALATE then predicting her win on I Love Money. Hoopz would beat out Joshua “Whiteboy” Gallander and win the show’s $250,000 first season prize.

So how did Hoopz allegedly win Shaq’s love? Neither are speaking out about the report, but in 2008, Hoopz revealed how she won I Love Money. ” I was just going to try my best and never give up. I never really talked about the money. I was in denial when I did win. So I am completely grounded about it. $250,000 is a lot of money but there’s more out there. I’m saving it all.”

At time, Hoopz told VH-1 of her plans to start an accessory line. “Most of it I’m going to save and make it make more money, try to start an accessory line and whatever. My mom has no idea that I won, so I’m gonna surprise her and my sister and use it to take care of them.”

INJURY UPDATE – Shaq’s return could be Wednesday. Shaq’s return from his right thumb injury could be Wednesday in time for the Playoffs.

Coach Mike Brown says Shaq could return Wednesday against the Hawks. “If he’s healthy, that’s something we’re going to talk about it. If the doctors clear him (he’ll play).”

Shaq’s injury was on February 25 against Glen Davis, his surgery that same week. At the time, LALATE had predicted Shaq’s return by April 17.

Shaq twittered the morning of his surgery the following:

“Going into surgery today on my thumb, will be out for a min but when I return it is on, win da ring for da king! Luv my team, Cavs baby!”

INJURY UPDATE – Shaquille O’Neal’s right thumb injury has undergone surgery. Shaq’s right thumb injury will put him out 6 to 8 weeks. There are 7 weeks left in the season.

Shaq took to twitter this morning to tweet:

“Going into surgery today on my thumb, will be out for a min but when I return it is on, win da ring for da king! Luv my team, Cavs baby!”

The injury was Thursday at Boston against Glen Davis at the end of the first half. Shaq’s recovery may not be complete by the NBA playoffs which start April 17.
