TEAM TORI! Tori Spelling reportedly is in a salary dispute over the CW 90210 amid reports that CW is paying other 90210 alumns triple her salary. Tori Spelling had agreed to sign onto CW 90210 after Jennie Garth but before Shannen Doherty, as reported here on LALATE. But today reports say that Tori is being offered as low as $10,000 an episode - which is basically salary levels of the 1970s.

Reports say that Tori Spelling as Donna Martin was offered $10 to $20,000 per episode, but Garth and Doherty $35 to $50,000. When Tori demanded equal pay, a report says “the network suits have refused. So now my sources tell me that Tori has pulled out of the series, which premieres with a 2-hour special on September 2nd. “She thought she deserved parity, and she’s got a point,” an insider explained to me.”

Brenda is back at 90210. Shannen Doherty will be joining the CW 90210, the new spinoff of Beverly Hills 90210 first profiled here on LALATE. “Shannen Doherty will be returning to 90210″, Gabe Sachs, executive producer said at the Television Critics Association press tour in Beverly Hills on Saturday.  

Doherty will return as Brenda Walsh, the character she played for four seasons on the original show. Doherty will play a “visiting drama teacher”.

Drama? How ironic!

Walsh will direct a musical at the West Beverly High. As of yet, it is unclear if Brenda’s part will be a series regular. Jennie Garth was the first to return to the show. Garth will be a reocurring character as counselor Kelly Taylor. Tori Spelling is signed on as Donna Martin but not in the pilot due to her child’s recent birth.

How many episodes Spelling, Garth and Doherty will appear in? “They will be in multiple episodes”.

Wonder how the new cast likes all the press attention on the original cast jumping in and out of the show, not on them? They are going to have to reshoot that cast picture!
