LOS ANGELES (LALTE) – Hana Hwang was visited by Selena Gomez at Los Angeles Children’s Hospital in December following assistance by Ryan Seacrest. This weekend, Los Angeles Children’s Hospital issued a thank you, again, to Selena Gomez and her fans for their reaction to a recent video by Hana Hwang in January.

In a news statement last Friday, Los Angeles Children’s Hospital thanked Selena Gomez and her fans for their reaction to Hana’s recent video. “We have been getting a lot of response from Hana’s video to @selenagomez” said the Children’s Hospital. “Thank you all for sharing this amazing story”.

The video, a narrative by Hana, uploaded on January 12 has been seen by nearly ninety-thousand viewers. Hana’s family in the video caption issued a thank you to the hit singer, and also her mother. “To Selena’s mother, Mandy, thank you for raising such a remarkable daughter.” As to Selena, the Hana family told news “Selena, not matter what you go through in your life, if you have love and family, you’re already a superstar. Never forget that you have made a difference to us and to the world.”

LOS ANGELES (LALATE) – Was Selena Gomez punched by an angry Justin Bieber fan? No says Gomez’s rep. Selena Gomez punching reports surfaced online Wednesday, on Twitter, prompting the Disney star’s reps to denounce the reports as false. But Gomez’s rep would not explain why she was photographed so distraught during the time in question.

In a news statement released Wednesday, Selena Gomez’s rep tells PEOPLE there is “absolutely no truth” to reports that she was punched or struck by a jealous Justin Bieber fan.

But the Gomez rep would not explain while Selena appeared bother while emerging from the dinner at issue, a visit to Maggiano’s restaurant in LA for Bieber’s 17th birthday. Selena’s head was in her hands and her hair was shown tossed in front of her face.

Ironically, in another picture from the same night, Gomez looks perfectly fine. The report came less than three days after the long-believed couple made it official, appearing hand in hand on Sunday for the post-Oscar bash for Vanity Fair Magazine.

LOS ANGELES (LALATE) – Justin Bieber and Selena Gomez were very much in love at the Vanity Fair Oscar party last night. Justin Bieber and Selena Gomez’s appearance at the post-Oscars party last night featured the two holding hands, wearing coordinating outfits, and featuring her hand on his knee.

Justin Bieber and Selena Gomez showed up looking stunning. She was adorned in a red evening dress by Dolce & Gabanna while he wore red pocket square to match. Arriving that the Sunset Tower Hotel in West Hollywood for the annual Vanity Fair bash, Bieber and Gomez did not opt to be photographed separately. Rather they appeared hand-in-hand, smiling for the intentional news media.

But always working the crowd, Bieber chatted up other industry heavyweights in the party including Tom Hanks, reports PEOPLE. And as MTV photographers revealed to news last night, the couple were even spotted texting together. While the two did not speak to news late night, their message was clear. To date, neither have ever officially confirmed their relationship.

Selena Gomez pregnant reports hit online Sunday, a day usually reserved for fake celebrity deaths to spiral out of control. But in 2011, with celebrity fans more skeptical of fake celebrity car crash reports, a new breed of false reporting has kicked off – teen pregnancies.

Selena Gomez is certainly not the first celebrity to be the subject of false pregnant reports. By all accounts, 2009 was the year of fake baby bump stories that dominated celebrity newspapers. If you were are female star in public wearing a form-fitting dress, you were the target of celebrity newspapers. If you had an extra cheeseburger that day before meeting photographers, you suddenly were reported to have, not just a bump, but a baby bump. “I’m out of shape” was usually the embarrassing remark that celebrities were forced to give news to dispute their inaccurate reports.

But this time around, the focus is not on Selena Gomez’s body, it’s just on fabricating a story.

Selena Gomez is no more pregnant than singer Monica. Monica this weekend confirmed her marriage to Lakers’ star Shannon Brown. But just weeks ago, Monica too was the subject of fake pregnancy reports. Unlike 2009’s reports, Monica’s reports weren’t predicated upon a bump. They were just simply made up. Monica’s response was that she had “happy weight” during a telecast which prompted even her publicist to call her for confirmation.

Monica told fans then “My cousin just texted and asked ‘why are u the last to know’….. I am absolutely not pregnant. God’s Grace, Great kids, Great Family and Super good love sometimes = what we in the country call happy weight. LOL. No worries. … I have gotten tons of calls. Not because u said it. But my publicist said people are asking her. I didn’t look that different to me. LOL…. Oh, well.”

LOS ANGELES (LALATE) – Selena Gomez’s run on Wizards of Waverly Place is ending. Selena Gomez says the current season of Wizards of Waverly Place that she is working on will be her last. Yes, it’s sad news for Wizards fans.

“Unfortunately, I’m doing my last season of my show, which I’m really heartbroken about. That’s gonna be a terrible time for me” says Gomez to MTV.

She’s been with the series since 2007. She previously appeared on Barney and Friends, Hanna Montana, and Suite Life of Zack and Cody. “I’m gonna do a movie for my show, which I’ll be excited to end it with, and then a tour,” says Gomez.

Her current song “Round and Round with the Scene went to 24 in the U.S. while “Naturally” hit number 7 on the UK chart.
