Sandra Rinomato’s Buy Herself, her first reality tv series since exiting Property Virgins, is being shot in Canada. But the program, while confirmed for HGTV Canada, could soon ignite fans interest on HGTV USA.

At issue has been the timing. In recent weeks, LALATE has detailed the rollout of new programs for HGTV USA. As fans have seen, unlike traditional broadcast networks, HGTV hasn’t had a systemic pattern of announcing new shows. For example, last week, a series of new programs were announced in one slate. But then yesterday, David Bromstad’s The White Room Challenge, a new series for the U.S., was revealed in its own news statement.

But how about Sandra and HGTV USA? Sandra tells news moments ago that she is still in talks for Buy Herself for U.S. viewers.

“Thank you for your fabulous comments! You are so important to me. I want you to know what is happening with me. I have been working on my new show called Buy Herself which will begin airing in Canada on HGTV Monday April 16 at 10pm.” She adds ” I have been working with HGTV in the USA toward getting on the air again and I will keep you posted as soon as I know anything. I hope you will all tune in and enjoy Buy Herself!”

While fans have adored Sandra season to season on HGTV, the question remains – what she is like behind the scenes on production of her new show? An insider tells LALATE that Sandra is “one of the nicest people” they have ever worked with in two decades of television programming. Sandra, on her Twitter and Facebook accounts, has also detailed extensively that production  has been enjoyable.

But how many episodes are anticipated for season one of Sandra’s new show? Sandra tells news this week that season one production has still not wrapped. But an insider tells LALATE that fourteen episodes are slated for season one of Buy Herself.

On previous seasons of programming with HGTV, Sandra has gone from Canada to south Florida. But which areas of Canada will season one focus on for Buy Herself? All episodes are being shot in the greater Toronto area.

Sandra’s fan base spans from Canada to the U.S. But while an HGTV Canada debut date for Buy Herself of April 16 is slated, will the show ever come to the U.S.? An insider reveals that efforts are “still in the works” to hopefully bring season one to U.S. cable viewers this year. LALATE is expected to have that U.S. debut date if and when the distribution deal is inked.

In January, Sandra told news that her new show, Buy Herself, could come to TV later this year. She told news at the time “We are currently in production for HGTV Canada”. But this week, Sandra finally confirmed a debut month for the news series. She tells fans “I can’t wait to share the first episode in April”.

The series has been shot in Toronto with casting conducted by HGTV.”Are you a motivated, independent female buyer in the Greater Toronto Area?” asked HGTV in a recent casting call. But while the series is set to debut within just weeks, the show hasn’t finished filming for its first season.

Sandra told fans moments ago “We’re thrilled, there’s another spot open on Buy Herself and there might be another spot added – if you’re a woman buying real estate on your own in the GTA send a note asap”. Also this week, Sandra filmed the opening credits. Overall, Sandra says production has been going smoothly. “We’re having a lot of fun filming the opening… we’re meeting some amazing people with amazing stories on Buy Herself.”

Also filming new series are Mike Holmes. “Mike Holmes’ brand new series Holmes Makes It Right is looking for unfortunate homeowners whose homes, lives and finances have been brutally disrupted by disastrous circumstances” says HGTV in a news statement. Scott McGillivray is also filming another season of Income Property. Additionally, Debbie Travis. Bryan Baeumler, and Paul LaFrance are also filming new programs, HGTV tells news.

For now, fans should expect Sandra’s to return to HGTV Canada this April. But when will Sandra’s Buy Herself air on HGTV USA? Sandra tells news that she hopes the series will be picked up there later this year.

On Property Virgins, Sandra Rinomato tackled buyers’ desires for one or two story homes. But now Rinomato is going to broaden her horizon, taking a reported 155 pedestals with 1776 stairs and 144 flights. And her efforts are all for charity.

In a news statement today, Sandra said “I guess I’d better start training for my CN Tower climb! A member of Sandra Rinomato Realty Inc started the ball rolling to get us all to participate in raising funds for WWF (Wildlife, not wrestling!)”. Sandra added “because I think it’s a great cause, I’ve decided to join the climbers! Eeek, what have I done?! Well, one step at a time, as they say –for almost 1800 steps.”

Sandra’s efforts are to assist WWF. “While we are doing our part, we are counting on you to help us reach our fundraising goal. The money we raise with the help of your generous support will make a huge difference to WWF’s efforts to conserve species at risk, like polar bears, tigers, and pandas and the habitats they call home.”

Within just a few hours of announcing her pledge, Sandra reached thirty-two percent of her charity goal. Sandra is one of seven team members participating for the charity matter this April 19. For more, click HERE.

Another added “I sure hope your new show shows on Directv soon. Miss you very much from Property Virgins… I’m glad to see you are doing your own show.”
