Ryan Seacrest is one of five hosts for the 2008 Emmy Awards this evening. The Emmys concept this year is the five nominees for top reality show host are also hosts for the awards.

(Of course, all the non reality scripted tv stars must love that.)

The hosts for the Emmys are American Idol’s Ryan Seacrest, Project Runway’s Heidi Klum, Dancing with the Stars’ Tom Bergeron, Deal or No Deal’s Howie Mandel and Survivor’s Jeff Probst.

It’s not complicated at all. Denise Richards has been cancelled because of horrible ratings. Denise Richards’ reality tv show by yawn-master Ryan Seacrest has reportedly been cancelled, the same show Richards fought Charlie Sheen over getting their children to appear in.

Khloe Kardashian appeared on Ryan Seacrest today to talk about her 11 second visit to jail last week. Khloe was sentenced to a jail term for violation of her probation requirements stemming from a prior DUI arrest. And yes, Seacrest is also the producer of her reality show, Keeping up with the Kardashians.

Kardashian gave a big revelation that she was not to be sent to Lynwood but rather Twin Towers. “one of the dirtiest, toughest jails in L.A.”. She says “that there were some complications, and I actually could not go down there. It’s a blessing in disguise. That’s my dad being one of my angels.”

She said she went into solitary confinement for protection. “As soon as I got to Lynwood, there were three bomb threats…The warden came down to talk to me, and he was saying, ‘You’re the one causing all the problems here.’ And I’m like, ‘Ugh, I don’t need any more problems.’ And he’s like, ‘There’s all these bomb threats, and we’re thinking it’s for you.’..But because of all these things, it’s a blessing, and I was actually released early because I was a threat to the prison.”

Ladies, if you want to get into a hot tub with Brody Jenner on tv, think again. Details revealed tonight of Brody Jenner’s new reality show “Bromance” has male contestants get much more hot tub on camera time that you might think.

Initial chatter had placed “Bromance” starring Brody Jenner for MTV to be a spinoff of “The Hills”. That chatters appears now to be incorrect with the show details surfacing tonight. New details make “Bromance” sound like a male version of Paris Hilton’s new BFF show, also for MTV. While Paris Hilton is looking for her new best friend in her upcoming MTV reality show, so too is Brody Jenner among male buddies.The Jenner reality show has only been reportedly a six episode agreement. Pretty short.

Ashlee Simpson and Pete Wentz are currently celebrating a caribbean honeymoon, LALATE can report to you.

Ryan Seacrest had Pete this week on his radio show this week. Wentz said that him and Ashlee were going to celebrate their honeymoon in his basement, and of course Seacrest believed it.

But instead of “eating DiGiorno’s pizza,” to “save that 30 grand” days in thier basement, Simpson and Wentz are in fact in the Caribbean right now celebrating their honeymoon, not in a basement.

Simpson appeared in pictures today in a string bikini living it up in the ocean with Pete. Simpson has repeatedly refused to acknowledge her pregnancy publically. Simpson’s new album has had exceptionally lackluster sales.

Sister Jessica Simpson also was snapped this week heading off to a tropical vacation.

Heidi Montag fake pregnancy?

Rumor mill says Heidi Montag and Spencer Pratt will fake Montag being pregnant with staged publicity antics during the air date of MTV The Hills Season 4 later this year.

Oh please. 

Montag and Pratt, the poster child for staged photoshoots intended to be “candids”, are now being chatted up online. Net chatter says that the Montag will fake being pregnant later this year, including wearing loose clothes and visiting baby clothing shops, to garner the lion’s share of “Hills” publicity. Speidi were the magazine’s fav Hills stars to report on during season 3.

Montag will return for a new season of The Hills, while LALATE can report that Brody Jenner is set to get his own show, also on MTV, reportedly from producer Ryan Seacrest.
