ST LOUIS (LALATE) – Is a Ronaldo Manchester United trade being pursued? No, says Ronaldo. But Ronaldo tells news that a Man United trade is still possible in the future. While Ronaldo makes the revelation to news this week, a quick perusal reveals that Ronaldo made virtually the same remark earlier this year and last year as well.

So will Ronaldo ever return to Man United? He says it’s possible. In an interview with Sky Sports, however, he doesn’t give any indication when the possibility could become a reality. “I cannot lie to you and say I will stay here ten years, that I am not going to come back to Manchester. It is not fair on my part. Let’s see what future God has prepared for me” he tells Sky Sports News this week.

Ronaldo assured news that he is very happy where he is. But, if he is traded, he would only accept a spot with Man United. “I don’t close the door, so maybe in the future I hope so, because I know the league, I know the players, I know the atmosphere,” Ronaldo told news. “Why not? I hope so one day, but you never know. The team that I like more in England is Manchester but I cannot say that I am going to play there one day because I am very, very happy in Madrid.”

This week’s interview is virtually identical to that Ronaldo gave to News of the World in 2010. In that older interview, Ronaldo said he is happy in Madrid, but misses Man United, and still sees a trade to Man United a possibility in the future. “I am still interested in watching Manchester United and, you never know, maybe in the future I could return to play there. It’s always possible” he told NOW in 2010. “I am really happy and everyone knows this is my club but, of course, I miss Manchester United, the boss, the players, because I left family there.”

ST LOUIS (LALATE) – Tonight’s Philadelphia Union vs. Real Madrid 2011 showdown will bring Cristiano Ronaldo to a packed house at Lincoln Financial Field. This Saturday, Ronaldo will attempt to repeat his team’s stellar performance against the Los Angeles Galaxy just days ago; that match ended in a 4-1 victory for Ronaldo. But can he pull it off?

The Philadelphia Union delivered an impressive 1-0 win over Everton on July 20. But tonight they expect to showcase their talents to the world. Philadelphia Mayor Michael Nutter tells news that tonight’s soccer match puts the team, and the city, in front of the world. “Hosting Real Madrid provides another opportunity to showcase Philadelphia to the world,” he said in a recent news statement.

But can tonight’s match end the same as the Galaxy’s days ago? In advance of that showdown, David Beckham told news that Real Madrid is unstoppable. “I remember my first year playing with Zidane, Ronaldo, Raul, Figo and Roberto Carlos very well. “

Real Madrid’s goals against the Galaxy came from Callejón, Joselu, Ronaldo, and Benzema. Then against Guadalajara, Ronaldo led his team to a 3-0 win.

“We’re excited that fans in Philadelphia will have the opportunity to see the Union square off against Real Madrid” Joe Banner, president of the Philadelphia Eagles says in a news statement in advance of tonight’s match. “And we’re proud to bring another headline event to Lincoln Financial Field, which is becoming a great national entertainment destination.”

LOS ANGELES (LALATE) – The LA Galaxy vs Real Madrid 2011 features tonight one of the best soccer showdown on U.S. shores this month: Beckham vs. Ronaldo. The LA Galaxy vs Real Madrid football game tonight, hosted  at LA Memorial Coliseum (and en vivo on ESPN Deportes and ESPN ) ends months of anticipation; Landon Donovan and the Galaxy battle one of the most famed soccer clubs internationally, Real Madrid. When Cristiano Ronaldo and Sergio Ramos head to the Coliseum, they join the International the Herbalife World Football Challenge; they also give the Galaxy their third attempt at a win.

In a news statement before tonight’s match (start time 7 pm PST), Galaxy President Tom Payne said Saturday’s match will be a record-setting rematch of last year’s showdown. More than eighty-seven thousand fans saw the match last year at the Coliseum. But joining Real Madrid this year is a new head coach, Jose Mourinho. Will that make a difference?

The first time the Galaxy faced Real Madrid was in 2005. The Galaxy, before a Home Depot Center crowd, lost that game in a final score of 2-0. Last year, the showdown was renewed, moved to the Rose Bowl. At halftime last year, the Galaxy was up 0-2. Todd Donovan and Landon Donovan dominated news with their two stunning goals to put the Galaxy in what appeared to be a winning position. But eventually, the Galaxy lost 3-2 after Gonzalo Higuain delivered two goals, and Xabi Alonso delivered one.

Payne tells news, however, that this year will have a new addition. David Beckham is expected to take to the field and face his former club for the first time since his departure four year ago.

Beckham however tells “Marca” news that Real Madrid still remains the favorite to win tonight. Beckham tells news is he fond of his final 2007 year with Real Madrid. Beckham made the move to Los Angeles after four years with Real Madrid. “I remember my first year playing with Zidane, Ronaldo, Raul, Figo and Roberto Carlos very well. My last year when we won the League was great too.”

“We are very excited to once again welcome back Real Madrid along with manager José Mourinho and their cadre of international talent to Los Angeles,” Galaxy President Tom Payne tells news this evening.

Update – Ronaldo spent last night in Vegas with two women, neither was Paris Hilton, claims British press. Cristiano Ronaldo stayed a pricey Palms Las Vegas penthouse “with two pretty girls . . . and neither was Paris Hilton” reports British press today.

Soccer star Ronaldo stories have always played better in British press than U.S. But a new report claims that Paris Hilton tattled to friends that she and Ronaldo could be next Posh and Becks. Even better, the alleged comment includes Hilton saying she’s hotter than Victoria Beckham and that Ronaldo is hotter than David Beckham.

Claims Brit press, Hilton at sis Nicky’s house alleged boasted:

“We could be great together, you know. We’re both so famous we’d become even bigger than David Beckham and Posh Spice. We’re way hotter and younger than them anyway!”

Hilton hotter than Posh? Ronaldo hotter than Becks?
