Initial reports that Rodney King has been shot in the face with a bullet have proven to be the result of bad reporting. The story is wrong folks.
Initially reports said that King had been shot with bullet(s) and in the face. Neither is in fact true, says LA Times.
Since then, LA Times has reported it was not bullets but merely pellets shot from a shotgun.
Still other news agencies are also inaccurate about where the injuries landed, claiming King was shot in the face. Again, wrong!
It has since been determined he was shot in the shoulder … with pellets … not shot in the face… with bullets.
Bravo to LA Times for getting this right, and thumbs down to those who reported it so wrong.
(Even some stories said it was in Los Angeles City. Folks, it was San Bernadino.)
