StarRoc = Jay-Z + Stargate! Jay-Z and Stargate’s Tor Erik Hermansen and Mikkel S. Eriksen have launch StarRoc, underneath Jay-Z’s Roc Nation Live Nation deal.

StarRoc will release Jay-Z’s albums and new talent. But Blueprint 3 will be Jay-Z next album under Def Jam pursuant to his previous deal.

StarRoc will act as both a record label and music publishing company under Jay-Z’s Roc Nation deal profiled on LALATE first earlier this year.

Reps state this week: “the focus is to find new talent and develop artists through mutually beneficial global partnerships which include music distribution, publishing, touring and merchandising.”

Tor Erik Hermansen and Mikkel S. Eriksen are behind current songs Ne-Yo Closer, Rihanna’s Take a Bow, and Jennifer Hudson’s Spotlight.
