Redskins vs Cowboys 2012: RG3 Faces Tony Romo

ST LOUIS (LALATE) – The Redskins vs Cowboys 2012 (live score below) will deliver the second Thanksgiving NFL game today. RG3 takes on Tony Romo this afternoon in a season win which both teams have struggled to get a winning record. The Redskins head to Arlington today after having lost two of three games on the road this season. The Cowboys, in contrast, have split their games at home this season.
Thanksgiving’s Redskins vs Cowboys game (start time 4:25 PM EST on FOX) will give RG3 his latest attempt to turn around the season from his 4-6 start. Romo, however, is seeking his sixth win today.
Griffin and Romo have been impressing news with huge completion rates this season. But Romo’s interceptions have been deplorable.
Romo has delivered thirteen passing touchdowns and the same number of interceptions this season. RG3, in contrast, has produced twelve passing touchdowns this fall but only three interceptions. Both quarterbacks, however, have over two thousand passing yards and a sixty-seven percent completion rate.
The difference is more evident on rushing. Morris and Griffin have eleven rushing touchdowns this year. But Murray and Jones have only delivered four combined rushing touchdowns for Dallas in contrast.
On receiving, RG3 has been connecting best with Moss and Hankerson. The two have a combined seven touchdown receptions this year. That’s compared to Bryant and Austin who have delivered eight.
Jason Garrett told the Cowboys’ news website this week that Dallas must be ready to battle RG3’s versatility today. “(The Redskins) are certainly playing different offensive football than they’ve played in the past because of RG3 being their quarterback. We certainly have to do our best to get on top of what they’re trying to get done.” He added “They’ve certainly been very impressive at different times and they do a variety of things, and we’ve got to make sure we can contain him.” For live updates today, click HERE.
