Rachael Mullenix, 19, killed her mom Barbara Mullenix. Rachael is from Huntington Beach but now Mullenix will be in prison twenty five years to life. Rachael conspired to kill Barbara with her boyfriend and then dumped her mom’s body in Newport Harbor.

“I don’t care what the jury thought. I did not do that to my mother,” said Mullenix. “I can’t even believe this is happening to me.”

“Even though I didn’t do it,” she said, “I feel like I didn’t do enough to prevent it.”

She maintains that she didn’t kill her mom. Mullenix was 17 when the murder occurred. And what does her father think?

Her father, divorced from Barbara whom he describes as an abusive alcoholic, reportedly says his daughter didn’t do it!

“I know in my heart that she didn’t do this” he said.
