That cameo had Spears driving alongside in another car while the Pussycat Dolls appear next to her in traffic, singing.

But reports today now state that the music video “When I Grow Up” has cut Britney Spears out of the final edit.

OUCH!

A spokesperson for the Dolls couldn’t be reached and the members would not explain last night during an appearance why Spears was invited for the video, shot the video, and then cut out. Not cool.

LALATE had told you how it seemed perhaps questionable to have Spears, notorious for her driving antics the last 12 months, to make an appearance in the video …. in a driving capacity.

A source had told US Magazine “They all wave at each other as they are passing in traffic — that is it. Of course, Britney looks hot and blond. It is a very short sequence, but [Britney] had a lot of fun with it. Britney really likes the Dolls’ music and when she saw them on the MTV [Movie Awards], she was totally down to do the video.”

Spears will be in London to film the music video for “Radar” as first reported by LALATE last week. Online reports, without confirmation from Spears camp, place former manager Larry Rudolph (recently exec producer of the hit reality show “Rock the Cradle”) now back as Spears’ manager.

Rudolph says of the upcoming music video for Radar:

“The theme is her and her girlfriends are going to be looking all around London trying to find a boy who she met in a club. Every time they think they have him, it’s someone else!”

What will the dancing be like in the video? Chatter had said Spears was upset with the quality of her moves in “Piece of Me”, LALATE’s fav song of her current album “Blackout”.

Reportedly in the video, Britney Spears is shot in a brief cameo driving by in traffic.

The Pussycat Dolls in the scene are driving and singing along in a convertible Chevy Imapla. And then, suddenly they pass Britney.

(No word yet if Britney is driving the car with a blackberry or Starbucks drink in hand … or bumping into the car infront of her too!)
