Paula Broadwell, Scott Broadwell Battle Tampa “Leader”

LOS ANGELES (LALATE) – Paula Broadwell and Scott Broadwell are infuriating Tampa “socialite” Jill Kelley. While Paula Broadwell and Scott Broadwell have yet to comment to news about Jill Kelley, Kelley has been firing off angry emails about Paula Broadwell to her mayor. Now those emails, filled with Jill Kelley’s incessant name-dropping antics, have been released to news.

Kelley, patting her own back, tells her Mayor that “I have contributed [to my City] so much of my love, time, money and leadership”. Kelley is not particularly clear what “leadership” she has offered the City of Tampa.

But she has provided money disputes to her City’s local courts. She is being sued for not allegedly paying her home mortgage despite hosting “socialite” functions. She allegedly was sued, and lost another property. And her credit card company is even litigating another matter.

But Kelley is telling the Mayor that attention needs to be focused, not on her, but the “criminal” in the Petraeus scandal. And who would that purported “criminal” be?

In one angry email, Kelley tells her Mayor “I wouldn’t care — if they (the media) got the facts right and the focus was on the criminal that stalked all of us.. But the truth will one day prevail.”

Kelley doesn’t mention Paula Broadwell by name. But Kelley filed the FBI investigation against Broadwell through the agency’s criminal cyber stalking unit. Broadwell has not been arrested nor charged with any criminal conduct.

And what does Kelley think of Dr Scott Broadwell? For now, she is complaining what the Petraeus scandal has done to her husband’s life, the other Dr. Scott in this case. “I’m not sending my daughters to school today, and my husband [Dr Scott Kelley] slept at the hospital, because it’s just gotten too difficult to even pull out of our own driveway.”

But Kelley is worried that her “relationship” with the City and the military are damaged. “My only concern in this whole process is that the relationship between MacDill Air Force Base and the City of Tampa is not damaged.”

In other emails, Kelley brags to the Mayor about her visits to the White House. She writes “I’ll be in DC this weekend with Petraeus, but let’s set up a double date when I return!” She added “I’ll be sure to send the Director your regards –should be another fabulous weekend in DC.”

ST LOUIS (LALATE) – Scott Broadwell, Paula Broadwell’s husband, allegedly wanted David Petraeus at her birthday party last Saturday. Scott Broadwell was planning for weeks the fortieth birthday party for Paula Broadwell (photos below). The celebration was set to kick off last Saturday, insiders tell news. And among the purported guests that Dr Scott invited was the man his wife was allegedly having an affair with, claims Washingtonian Magazine.

But in one of the awkward moments of the Paula Broadwell – David Petraeus affair, Dr Scott Broadwell last Friday sent out an email to invited guests telling them that the party was over, literally and allegedly also figuratively. Among the purported recipients of the email was David Petraeus.

Since the case erupted, Scott Broadwell has yet to comment about David Petraeus and his wife’s alleged affair . But as reported yesterday, Paula Broadwell this week was spotted having a pleasant evening, nowhere near the home that she shares with her husband.

Paula, rather, was spotted with her brother in Washington DC. She appeared perched near an open window, dressed in a hot pink dress with her hair and makeup done sipping red wine. Her husband was not spotted.

At issue today before Congressional leaders, however, was the contents of computers taken from the Broadwell residence in Dilworth, N.C. In an apparently rushed search warrant, on Monday, just days before the hearing, investigators removed items from the Broadwell home in Dilworth, N.C. The couple purportedly were not in town at the time.

Taken from the residence were Paula’s computer. Officials will not confirm any other contents removed. The Chicago Tribune claims that “FBI agents have found a substantial amount of classified information on Broadwell’s personal computer since they searched her Charlotte, North Carolina, home with her consent on Monday”. But Petraeus told HLN this week that was not the case. He claims his interaction with Broadwell was only an affair and nothing more.

LOS ANGELES (LALATE) – Dr Scott Broadwell, Paula Broadwell’s husband, has not been spotted at his home in Charlotte, North Carolina since his wife’s mistress affair broke. But are Scott Broadwell and Paula Broadwell still together? And have they split, broke up or separated since Broadwell’s revelations hit news last Friday?

Pushup partners Scott Broadwell and Paula Broadwell have not been back to the couple’s Charlotte, North Carolina residence since the mistress affair scandal broke last Friday. But Paula Broadwell did surface last night in Washington DC. She was reportedly not with her husband.

News pictures obtained by the New York Daily News overnight shows Broadwell dressed up with her makeup done, in a tight fitting pink top, enjoying a glass of red wine last night. She appeared, ironically, next to a lit window insider her brother’s residence. News photographers have yet to indicate how easy the pictures were able to be obtained.

Meantime, Charlotte news is confirming that the Broadwells have not been spotted together since they split on the eve of her birthday party. Dr. Scott Broadwell’s residence, however, was searched extensively Monday night by Federal agents. Agents emerged with dozens of boxes. Details of that search warrant have not been released to news. Neither Broadwell was in town during the time of the apparent search of the residence.

Dr Scott Broadwell had scheduled his wife’s 40th birthday for last Saturday. Reportedly invited was even General David Petraeus and wife Holly Petraeus. But on Friday evening, he emailed guests and told them that the party was off.

The couple had been vacationing in a bed of roses inside a Virginia hotel, the Middleton Inn, when the scandal broke. But the couple reportedly checked out earlier than booked on Saturday. At the time, the couple reportedly not speaking to each other with Paula being seen extensively texting to a third party.

During an appearance on Jon Stewart during pushups, Paula was asked “How about this, your husband and I do pushups?” She replied “He is pretty good.” “What is your name?” She added “Scott!”

Stewart later questioned “Is this how arguments are settled in your house [with pushups]?” Scott Broadwell replied “Every time. I don’t win much. “

ST LOUIS (LALATE) – Paula Broadwell’s email drafts folder “trick” backfired in her attempt to hide her Petraeus alleged affair, officials told news today. Paula Broadwell (photos below) and General David Petraeus only sent about a handful of emails during their alleged affair. But they authored twenty to thirty thousand pages of emails that they never sent, insiders tell news.

The bizarre Paula Broadwell email drafts folder trick reportedly dates back to al-Qaeda in 2005. At the time, terrorists reportedly perfected the trick, reports the Washington Post.

How did the Broadwell Petraeus email trick work? The two reportedly wrote twenty to thirty thousand emails during a two year period but never pushed send for them. Rather, when an email is sent, “both accounts record the transmission as well as such metadata as the IP addresses on either end, something the two seemed to be seeking to avoid,” the Post reports today.

Officials tell news that Broadwell and Petraeus set up a private email account and composed emails to each other. They then left those emails allegedly in the draft folder for the other to see, believing that no person would ever question the account.

That idea allegedly crumbled, however, when Broadwell allegedly wrote Jill Kelley from the same email account. Eventually, FBI investigators got a search warrant on the Broadwell-Petraeus account which found the thousands of emails allegedly still in the draft folder.

ST LOUIS (LALATE) – Holly Petraeus aka Holly Knowlton, General David Petraeus’ wife, and Jill Kelley, wife of Dr Scott Kelley of Tampa, were friends for years. And yet, did the two wives’ friendship result in secrecy about Paula Broadwell? The big unanswered question in the Paula Broadwell scandal is why did Jill Kelley, who claimed to be Holly Petraeus’ friend for years, allegedly go to the FBI about Broadwell and not simply to Holly Petraeus only?

Holly Petraeus and Jill Kelley were friends for years, as were their families. In a news statement Sunday, the Kelley family confirmed the same. But at some date still yet unknown, Jill Kelly received less than a handful of emails from Paula Broadwell. Broadwell and David Petraeus had set up two private sector email accounts to communicate with each other during their 2011 affair which ended four months later. But at sometime after that affair had ended, Broadwell wrote Jill Kelley. Kelley in summer 2012 reported those emails.

News reports have confirmed that emails were not “threatening”. They were simply “harassing”. Broadwell erroneously thought that Kelley was Petraeus’ second mistress. So she told her to “back off” “my man”.

There weren’t dozens of emails. There were purportedly just a handful of messages. So why didn’t Kelley simply pick up the phone and call Holly, rather than launch a FBI investigation? That issue remains unknown.

Perhaps the key line in the email was one first misinterpreted by news reports. In one message, Broadwell wrote to Kelley “I know what you did”. Initial news reports claimed that Broadwell in that message is implying an erroneous interaction with Petraeus.

But is the line “I know what you did” in reference to Kelley’s interaction with General John Allen? News reports last night indicated that, from 2010 to 2012, Kelley and Allen exchanged upwards of thirty-thousand emails of an “inappropriate” subject matter. Ironically, during that same period of time, Holly appeared in pictures alongside Jill at her home in Tampa. The emails purportedly were exchange during the time that Allen was stationed in Tampa.

So was the purported “harassing” part of the emails from Broadwell in reference to General Allen, not General Petraeus? That remains unclear.

But for now, nothing appears to have warranted a dedication of FBI resources and a cyber crimes unit to investigate Holly Petraeus’ husband and his adulterous affair, more than a year after it had ended. Nothing appears to have justified two search warrants on his and Broadwell’s private email accounts discussing their romance, not national security. And nothing yet appears to have explained why Kelley launched an FBI investigation that resulted in damage to now at least three families rather than handle the matter only privately between her and Holly Petraeus. But with the, now three, scandals far from over, more details are still surfacing.

ST LOUIS (LALATE) – Who is the shirtless FBI agent whistle-blower who sent pictures of himself to Jill Kelley? And what did the shirtless FBI agent whistle-blower say to House Majority Leader Eric Cantor and Republican David Reichert? Jill Kelley (photos below) first received harassing emails from David Petraeus’ mistress Paula Broadwell; but when she reported Broadwell to her “friend” at the FBI, he turned around and sent Jill scandal pictures of himself.

The dubbed “shirtless FBI agent” remains unknown Tuesday as yet a third Petraeus related scandal surfaced overnight. The FBI agent who initially received Jill Kelley’s complaint about emails from David Petraeus’ mistress Paula Broadwell turned around and sent shirtless pictures to Jill Kelley, who is married to Dr Scott Kelley of Tampa.

The David Petraeus scandal grew overnight to add two new scandals. Yet, none of these three scandals has yet been worthy of FBI investigative resources. First, General John Allen is under investigation for twenty to thirty thousand emails of an “inappropriate” subject that he sent to Jill Kelley from 2010 to 2012. Allen previously was stationed in Tampa, near where Kelley lives with her husband Dr. Scott. Officials are not telling news why a General, friends with Petraeus, is sending so many emails to Kelley and how they are “inappropriate”.

Second, the “shirtless FBI agent” is under investigation. Kelley received a mere handful of emails from Petraeus mistress Paula Broadwell. In them, Broadwell wrongly thought that Kelley was the Petraeus’ second mistress. So she told Kelley to “back off” “my man”.

The Broadwell emails were not threatening as first news reports indicated. There were less than a handful of “harassing” emails, between adults, about a private matter, though private email accounts. And yet, Jill Kelley, who claims to be Holly Petraeus’ friend, calls up the FBI to launch a cyber crimes investigation, which then obtains search warrants against two private email accounts? And in the end, Petraeus resigns just days before his hearing on the Benghazi attacks?

If that didn’t sound bizarre enough, now there is a FBI agent reportedly obsessed with Kelley who sent her shirtless pictures. Kelley initially contacted the man, a previous friend, to launch the investigation at the FBI.

But after taking the case, he was removed by supervisors because he “might have grown obsessed with the matter.” He arguably at that point might have been obsessed with Kelley, snapping and sending her shirtless photos.

Then an internal investigation by the agency’s Office of Professional Responsibility was launched. At the same time, the Petraeus matter still remained a nominal issue between two women and one man outside the context of national security.

But suddenly, the shirtless FBI agent took this scandal to another level. So he became an FBI whistleblower and went to Congress, namely Republican David Reichert, to report the matter. He said that the FBI wasn’t properly investigating the matter. Officials have since indicated that the shirtless FBI agent is allegedly a registered Republican. The shirtless man complained that the FBI was seeking to “sweep the matter under the rug” about an issue that he thought was a major national scandal, ironically just before the Presidential election. Did the agent think that he had the October Surprise?

Meantime, the Kelley family continued to entertain the Petraeus family at their Tampa mansion, although the couple has been involved in reportedly nine lawsuits since moving to Tampa.

FBI officials are refusing to identify the agent. Also unclear is another issue: Eric Cantor’s knowledge of the matter. House Majority Leader Eric Cantor, a Republican, was contacted reportedly by the shirtless man through Reichert. Cantor and Reichert are disputing reports about their contact with the agent.
