Paris has been releasing a new fragrance every holiday season the last few years. This time around, she releases Fairy Dust’s picture days before the premiere of her new reality tv series.

Will people watch the show? Initial reaction to the premise - a celebrity finding friends - was met by negative reaction online. But Hilton may also be up against another problem. Most new shows to premiere this month have tanked in ratings due to attention more on the credit crisis and the presidential campaign then on scripted or reality programming.

Adria Petty is behind Paris Hilton’s new documentary “Paris, Not France”. But the Adria Petty Paris Hilton documentary is not very Paris Hilton-ish says reports - it’s reportedly boring.

Even stranger - the film reportedly was given slots at Toronto International Film Festival, “and then had generated some subsequent buzz when its lone press screening and two of its three public screenings were mysteriously pulled” says reports.

Reports say before showtime “the theater’s balcony was almost empty”

The purpose originally of the project allegedly was to have Adria Petty do a film to coincide with Paris’ 2006 album.

Says Mark Olsen for the LA Times about the film: ” “Paris, Not France” is perhaps the most damaging, most dangerous thing of all to a global brand based on glamour and fantasy: dead boring.”

CASTING! LALATE has the audition details to be on “Paris Hilton’s New BFF” for British ITV2. The English Paris Hilton BFF is casting for its spinoff of the MTV series reality series airing this fall.

Paris Hilton is casting British girls and guys to be her BFF contestants for the reality show that will begin shooting in England this fall. Hilton reportedly got $1 million for the British gig, with a price tag of $100,000 per episode. “Paris is great on TV and bosses over here have been keen to snap her up for ages. Fronting her own show in the UK for the first time is a big risk but producers are confident they have got a ratings hit. They are shelling out a fortune not just on Paris but also on production costs.”

While no confirmation about that salary figure, Hilton reveals the casting audition details today. Says Paris:

“Everyone knows I love LA, but London, watch out – I’m coming to town and bringing my fast-paced life with me. I’m in the UK all the time, but of course I can’t bring all my friends, so I’ve decided to look for a new BFF across the pond. I need a best friend who is hot, who can keep up with me, and most of all, who is real and won’t be a backstabber. I’m not leaving London until I find that amazing girl or guy who can meet the challenges of being my British bestie!”
