Remy Ma is the rapper who is currently in prison at Rikers Island. Her boyfriend Shamele Mackie aka Papoose showed up today to get married to her in prison.
But the brilliant Papoose came with a wedding gift. No, not lingerie, not perfume, but a key that opens prison handcuffs!
“A wedding was scheduled today and a visitor to that wedding service was found to be in possession of jail contraband so the wedding was canceled,” tells a prison official to the Daily News. “The key that was found today easily opened handcuffs that we and other law enforcement officials use”.
And the story doesn’t end there.
Papoose not only won’t be able to marry Remy Ma now … but he won’t be allowed into the prison to see her until NOVEMBER!
The singer reportedly faces 25 years. She will be sentenced Tuesday for allegedly shooting her friend Makeda Barnes-Joseph in the stomach in 2007.
