LOS ANGELES (LALATE) – Miranda Kerr and Orlando Bloom are married. Miranda Kerr (photos below) and Orlando Bloom got married secretly after nearly two years of pending wedding reports.

In 2008, In Touch Weekly wrongly claimed Orlando Bloom and Kerr broke up with Kerr dating Brandon Davis. Kerr’s family said at the time that Miranda and Bloom “have never been closer” and are “frustrated and upset” with the In Touch Weekly article that claimed “Kerr had broken up with Bloom and was in the throws of a rebound affair with oil fortune-heir Brandon Davis”. “There definitely wasn’t any kissing – nothing could be further from the truth. … I realize there is an interest in people who are in the spotlight, but I just can’t believe how far from the truth it gets.”

Kerr has been the face of Arden B since 2007 and the face of Australian department store David Jones, replacing model Megan Gale. In 2008, Kerr was ranked top 10 highest earning model in the world by Forbes, pulling in $3.5 million.

While the couple just confirmed their engagement last month, British news claimed the couples were engaged in 2009. At the time, Kerr told U.S. news: “I’ve always wanted kids, so someday, eventually, yes, it will happen. My ideal situation would be to live on a farm in a solar-powered house with a hammock and a vegetable patch. When this is all over, that’s where I’ll be.”

Photographer Russell James once said of Kerr:

“The US has fallen in love with her. We love her because she has the most incredible girl-next-door look and she’s also insanely beautiful. It means women are not intimidated by her looks and guys think they might be able to talk to her. It’s a fantastic combination … people want to be around her; she’s fun on a shoot … and she’s not stupid, which can be a very annoying trait among some models.”

What happened with Orlando Bloom early Friday morning is still unclear. Entertainment Tonight is reporting video taken at the scene of the accident involving Bloom show the actor “initially walking away from the accident and then turning around to return to the scene”.
