Oprah Boycott over Sarah Palin! FFRW (Florida Federation of Republican Women) has called for a boycott of Oprah over Palin. FFRW wants a boycott of Oprah’s show over refusal to book Sarah Palin until after the election is over.

Barack Obama has been on the show twice before running for president. Winfrey has said neither party’s candidate will appear on her show during the election. Neither reportedly has.

But other competing shows have had both parties’ candidates on.

The FFRW is a 58-year-old federation with 4,500 republican members. “She is an icon, and set her herself up to be such a women’s rights and women’s issues person. To have the first vice president of our lifetime on the Republican ticket being a woman and to sit it out regardless of what her personal political beliefs were was disingenuous, we felt,” said FFRW Vice President Cindy Graves to FOX.

Harpo and Oprah have not commented on the boycott.

Alexis Stewart is currently single but wants to have a child. She explains she has tried it all. Doctors, unusual medications, high-tech procedures. tewart is divorced and didn’t have kids during the marriage. And what does Martha think? She wants grandkids very badly.

IN CONCERT: Will Amy Winehouse perform? Former South African president Nelson Mandela throws a 90th Birthday concert this Friday in London’s Hyde Park called the “46664 Concert”. The three hour celebrity concert supports Mandela’s 46664 campaign against HIV/AIDS and features rockers Queen, Simple Minds, and maybe Amy Winehouse.

Winehouse says she still wants to perform but questions surround whether she will be healthy enough by Friday. LALATE’s guess - she’l make it! The three hour concert first profiled here on LALATE several months ago is named after Mandela’s prison number during his 27-years in jail: 46664. The purpose is to raise awareness of the HIV/AIDS epidemic especially reportedly hit badly in sub-Saharan Africa. There, 5.41 million people are struck with the illness. Mandella lost a son to the disease in 2005.

JUST IN: Oprah Winfrey’s new TV Series “Dr. Oz” led by heart surgeon Dr. Mehmet Oz has been signed to Sony Pictures Television, not CBS! The new talk show called “Dr Oz” will aire via Sony Distribution starting fall 2009, according to reports hitting online late tonight.

The importance of this deal is that Oprah chose not to have Dr Oz’s distribution home at CBS Television, which currently handles her own show and its spinoffs. “The Oprah Winfrey Show” and its two spinoffs — “Dr. Phil” and “Rachael Ray” are with CBS distribution. Oz however is going to Sony. Dr Oz was reportedly highly sought among tv distributors.

Despite tabloid reports of another rehab visit, Amy Winehouse has big gigs lined up. Now included is a peformance at Nelson Mandela’s 46664 Concert. The event is to celebrate Mandela’s 90th birthday at London’s Hyde Park on June 27.

Wow, now THAT is an event LALATE would love to be at. The concert will include performances by Leona Lewis, Annie Lennox, Dame Shirley Bassey, Razorlight and appearances by Oprah Winfrey, Will Smith, Robert DeNiro and Forest Whitaker.
