While the above song is not confirmed as the official theme song for the entire series, it should be. Online reaction is through the roof for theme song tonight with people asking who is singing, who produced.

While not confirmed, online consensus says, yes, that is PCD singing and the producer is Calvo Da Gr8 for Frequency Revolution Inc.  There is a music link on MTV tonight that is not functioning that lists such a song.

In June, LALATE reported to you lost of denials that Palermo would appear even appear in a reality show as a series regular with a new “friend”, Whitney Port.

Palermo camp’s in June issued the following statement:

“She is not involved. I am aware of the spin-off show but Olivia has no formal plans to appear on it at this time. If she makes an appearance, it will be completely organically. I’m not saying that she couldn’t appear on an episode if she were attending an event where they were filming, but we are not currently in talks with the network. As far as I know, the two have never met and they’re certainly not friends. Olivia is not the kind of girl who is going to be paid to be friends with someone.”

So much for that.

Tonight The City premiered on MTV. And over on wikipedia, it depicts Palermo’s role as a a lead co-star with Port, for the entire season.

And if you are wondering what online reaction is to the show tonight? A lot are saying

Olivia Palermo will NOT be appearing on a Whitney Port “The Hills” spinoff, despite news reports yesterday that Palermo would.

Palermo is hardly known to the West Coast. But she gave a killer quote today through her publicist that sounds reverse Hilton-like.While Paris Hilton is casting people to be her friend on HER reality show for MTV, Palermo is quick to deny reports that she would suddenly become Whitney Port’s friend for money to appear on Port’s reality show.
