And on other preparations? “Yeah, I’m actually not sure [about maids of honor] — I’ve been on the road. I just got home and so it’s really going to be, like, now that’s the time for me to sit down and think about what I want.”

Pencil in a wedding for Nicole and Joel! Nicole Richie and Joel Madden are getting married, their wedding engagement announcement twittered finally after three years of dating and two kids.

Exciting.

Joel twittered:

“Yep. i’m engaged. Very happy. Yeah we’ve been engaged for a while so your all kind of late on that. But Thanks for the hooplah all the same … P.s. thats why i love my family and friends. None of them are sources. All good tight lipped people who let us enjoy it! Thanks everybody”

She’s 28, he’s 30 and together have two kids, Harlow, 2 and Sparrow, 5 months.

Nicole Richie’s new Shoe Line is for her House of Harlow 1960 collection. The Nicole Richie shoe line announcement comes today as Paris Hilton announces her own sunglasses’ collection.

Ironic?

Richie is joining forces with Modern Vintage shoes to deliver a shoe line spanning twenty different styles. Says business partner Rick Cytrynbaum:

“Nicole is designing everything herself.

“She’s totally devoted to this, and we’re creating a whole lifestyle around her aesthetic and what is true to her.”

The shoes will launch with new accessories hitting stores in 2010.
