Mariah Carey, Nicki Minaj Feud Report Denied by Singer, American Idol
LOS ANGELES (LALATE) – A Mariah Carey, Nick Minaj purported feud report in TMZ earlier today was denied as false by Carey, Minaj and American Idol moments ago. Mariah Carey was quick to denounce the erroneous report late Monday. But the singer joked that, at least for her, feuds don’t materialize that easily.
On Monday, TMZ published a report featuring a picture of Nicki Minaj grinding her teeth. In it, TMZ claimed that the two judges are “already at each other throats”. The erroneous report also claimed that the production had been plagued with animosity between Carey and Minaj, adding “these girls just don’t like each other”.
Carey tells news that is just not true. In a news conference this afternoon, Minaj and Carey sat alongside Keith Urban, Randy Jackson and host Ryan Seacrest. Carey was asked if she didn’t like Minaj. Carey laughed off the report, telling news that she doesn’t form feuds with people after two days of filming. Minaj confirmed the same, telling news the she, Carey, and the rest of the judges have bee having a great time filming the new season together.
Minaj also told news today that she has now been nominated for ‘Best International Act’ at the 2012 MOBO Awards. Carey, in turn, tweeted images from Idol’s set today, showing the food backstage on her Instagram account.
