Peter Keller Presumed Dead in North Bend, Washington Bunker siege

ST LOUIS (LALATE) – Peter Keller is presumed dead inside his North Bend, Washington bunker. Peter Keller is believed to have died after SWAT officials detonated explosions around Keller’s bunker Saturday. Officials tell news that a body has been found in the bunker; they believe it is Keller’s remains.

Saturday began with local police continuing communications with Peter Keller. But those negotiation efforts may have broken down. Keller, 41, is believed to have spent nearly eight years creating the bunker. Keller retreated to the bunker after his wife and daughter were found murdered last weekend.

Peter Keller’s negotiation situation, however, changed after SWAT officials sent negotiators by helicopter to the site Friday. The bunker was located in the Cascade Mountain near Rattlesnake Ridge.

Officials tell news Saturday that they spent nearly seven hours yesterday trying to get to the unusually located bunker. Many of the officers on foot suffered injuries trying to get to the site. King County Sheriff Steve Strachan told news that the bunker’s design was exceptionally elaborate, with multiple entrances and several exits.

Police confirmed that Kaylene Keller and Lynnettee Keller were murdered last week in their home. The two allegedly suffered gunshots at close range to their head. Keller last week was charged with two counts of first-degree murder and a single count of arson.

Earlier today, SWAT officials detonated explosions around the bunker. Sheriff’s Sgt. Cindi West, the department spokeswoman, tells news that gas was lodged into the bunker as well. Local news is reporting that a body was found in the bunker moments ago. Officials believe the body is of Peter Keller.

Delta Flight 3163 Quarantined at Chicago Midway Gets Cleared

ST LOUIS (LALATE) – Delta Flight 3163, quarantined earlier today, has been cleared by officials. Delta Flight 3163 at Chicago’s Midway International Airport went under quarantine today April 26, 2012 shortly after 3:30 pm. But moments ago, officials confirmed that the plane has been cleared. The confusion was all the rest of bug bites.

Officials from the Centers for Disease Control were dispatched to the plane after it landed at Midway today. The plane had left from Detroit shortly after 2 pm. Department of Aviation spokeswoman Karen Pride initially told news that the medical illness was unknown.

One passenger tweeted an image of the crew telling passengers how to put on face masks. “Still in quarantine. They say it’s not serious”, wrote the passenger.

Another person tweeted an image and said “This plane has been quarantined at Chicago #Midway after a “medical [concern]” – CDC called in”.

Moments ago, however, officials confirmed that there was no medical emergency. Rather a passenger had bug bites. Officials confirmed that the bites were not communicable disease, NBC Chicago reports.

Urban Outfitters Catalog Photo Prompts Kissing Debate for Retailer

LOS ANGELES (LALATE) – Urban Outfitters’ current catalog photo, depicting two girls kissing, has prompted debate from the retailer. But the Urban Outfitters picture is drawing support from others. Many Los Angeles shoppers found nothing wrong with the photo whatsoever. The retailer has yet to comment about the debate.

The image is depicted in the Urban Outfitters (NASDAQ: URBN) latest catalog. Local news is reporting that the company has yet to comment about the matter, and has no apparent current intentions to pull the advertisement at anytime.

Local KTLA interviewed shoppers at Urban Outfitters about the matter. The news channel reports that the shoppers they questioned in Burbank didn’t find anything wrong with the photo.

But the group One Million Moms is upset about the campaign. It has issued a news statement on its website denouncing the campaign. The group previously dominated news for their disapproval of JC Penney’s hiring of Ellen DeGeneres.

The group is telling its supporters to throw away the catalog. They add “Tell them you will also no longer shop at their stores if you hear this type of [photo.... ] continues.” The group also writes with an exclamation point “On page two of this catalog is a picture of two women kissing in a face holding embrace!” Executives have yet to comment on the matter to news.

Delta Flight 1063 Video Today Reveals Bird Strike Emergency Landing

LOS ANGELES (LALATE) – Delta Flight 1063 from JFK New York to Los Angeles today suffered a bird strike. Officials confirm that the Delta flight today April 19, 2012 suffered the strike shortly after takeoff. Now new video has been released of the tense moments in air.

Delta Flight 1063, a Boeing 757, was set to land in Los Angeles’ LAX International airport today. But shortly after takeoff at 3:10 PM EST, the pilot had to turn the plane around. Passengers on board heard immediate shaking and engine sounds.

The pilot announced to passengers that the plane suffered engine trouble during a bird strike following takeoff. Among the 172 passengers were some members of the news media.

Quickly news reporters and others on board began tweeting messages. CNN anchor Ali Velshi wrote “Very big kudos to captain and crew of @Delta 1063 JKF-LAX for a quick turnaround & landing after bird strike & cabin filling with smoke”.

One passenger tweeted the above image after the emergency landing. She wrote “Chilling at JFK after @Delta flight 1063 had to make an emergency landing due to bird strike and cabin smoke”.

Another passenger wrote a thank you to the pilot. “Thank you to the pilot of @Delta 1063 for getting me back to the ground safely. It was a landing I’ll never forget.” And Grant Cardone posted a video HERE taken mid-flight after the bird strike. No passengers were injured.

Dr. Peter Hertzak Dies in Gulf of Mexico Plane Crash: Coast Guard

CORAL GABLES (LALATE) – Dr. Peter Hertzak has died in a plane crash into the Gulf of Mexico today, Coast Guard officials claim. Dr. Peter Hertzak was flying a Cessna 421 plane before he crashed into the Gulf of Mexico. FAA officials tell news that they lost contact with Hertzak after he took off this morning. Hertzak had left Slidell en route to Sarasota, Florida.

After contact was lost, two NORAD jets were dispatched promptly. They were able to locate and fly alongside the jet thereafter. But Hertzak allegedly became incapacitated. Two F-15 fighters confirmed that the pilot simply became unconscious during flight. They assert the plane lost fuel, headed off its path, and crashed into the Gulf.

Coast Guard Chief John Edwards tells news that Hertzak’s plane crashed into the water, and remained floating. But thereafter, the plane sunk into the gulf. Officials confirm that no life raft was spotted at the point of impact, roughly 120 miles from Tampa.

No one else was on board. Edwards in a news statement says “The plane did what we would refer to as a soft landing, meaning it wasn’t a violent impact in the water; it was floating it was intact and right side up”. Edwards said the fighter jets were unable to make visual observation of Hertzak because his windows were fogged up.

WSHH Twitter Feud Video and Tashay D. Edwards Arrest Prompt Confusion

LOS ANGELES (LALATE) – Is a shocking WSHH Twitter feud video and the arrest Tashay D. Edwards even related? WSHH (World Star Hip Hop) posted an Ohio video today in which two women allegedly fight because of a Twitter feud. And Tashay D. Edwards was arrested in Ohio recently. Now some reports are claiming that the two matters are related. But are they?

The WSHH video is entitled “Home Invasion”. The site describes the video as an encounter “in Ohio for being disrespectful on Twitter.” The video claims that a woman was attached on “her own doorstep over twitter beef” in the state of Ohio. While WSHH generates enormous views for its videos, this video caused a larger than usual reaction online today. WSHH does not identify the attacker.

In the video, one woman approaches another at her presumed residence. The two speak for a while. And then a shocking dispute erupts, ending in the streets.

Multiple reports claim that the woman in the video was arrested on Monday April 16. They claim that the video captured the encounter at issue, and that the assailant was arrested on April 16. Those same reports claim that woman’s arrested is named Tashay D. Edwards. But there is no confirmation of the same.

Rather, the Chronicle Telegram newspaper reports Police Logs for the area. It reports that a Tashay D. Edwards was not arrested on Monday April 16. Rather, the newspaper reports that Tashay D. Edwards was arrested on Monday March 19, 2012.

The police log reads that at 8:14 pm “2500 block Washington Ave., Tashay D. Edwards, 19, 100 blocks Spring St., arrested and charged with assault and violation of a temporary protection order. A woman, who said she has had ongoing problems with Edwards, said Edwards repeatedly punched her and ripped her shirt off.” The video does not depict a woman have her shirt ripped off. Officials have yet to comment to news about the shocking video.
