“I’m very grateful for my career, but I worry for the girls after me for the opportunities they get — the way they get treated. And this is one of the reasons I still do what I do,” she told Reuters . “I don’t do so many shows anymore, but I do count how many girls of color they use in the shows. It happens to be last year New York was the worst. Now at Paris Haute Couture there was only one black girl out of all the shows. It cannot be a trend.”

She might have a temper, but LALATE loves Naomi, inside and out.

“Naomi was slated to introduce some of the acts on stage as she has done with 46664 concerts in the past, but she has been informed that this time she can only sit in the grandstand.”

Campbell has been involved with the 46664 Charity for sometime. So why this?

Reportedly: “all plans were scrapped when pictures emerged of her being arrested wearing the baseball cap with the Mandela number on it. She will be allowed to sit in the grandstand and watch the performances, but that is as far as it goes.”

Campbell told Sky News:

“I was called a racial name on that flight. And that was part of my reaction. Again, nothing to do with the police but yes from British Airways. I was called a golliwog supermodel, I don’t think that’s really fair do you?’ Would you like it if someone turned round and called you a golliwog supermodel? I mean I’m proud to be a black woman, I’m proud to be British, I’m proud of the job that I do but I did not call anyone names of colour, of their race. And, you know, I’ve had to leave all of that out of court and all of that out of statement because at the end of the day the real problem was, I took my upset and my, the end of my wrath came out on the police, which was wrong.”

But the big shocker is her punishment - 200 hours!

She was also ordered to pay each officer $400, plus $300 to Miles Sutherland the captain she bothered on British Airways, along with a $4,600 overall fine.

Campbell was facing six months in fines.

Prosecutors claimed Campbell kicked and spat at police, accused airline personnel of racism and threatened to sue them. A prosecutor told the judge today: “These offenses are aggravated because they were committed within a lengthy incident in a confined space on an aircraft,” he said. “Whilst we accept that the loss of your suitcase would have been stressful, your subsequent behavior cannot be justified.”

“Whilst”? People still say “Whilst”?

Campbell was arrested on a British Airways flight back in April after she allegedly got upset that her carry-on bag was believed missing.

“Miss Campbell is bitterly disappointed that the prosecutors have advised her she is to be prosecuted for various offences,” her lawyer said today.

“She respects that decision and she hopes this matter is dealt with expeditiously,” he said.

The next court appearance for Campbell is next month on June 20.

The paper reports that Diddy shouted at Campbell during JD Jermaine Dupri’s Grammy afterparty.
