Morgan Freeman Fake Died 2012 Profiles Anger Fans, Again

Morgan Freeman Fake Died 2012 Profiles Anger Fans, Again death dead

LOS ANGELES (LALATE) – Morgan Freeman hasn’t died this October 2012. But several Facebook accounts entitled “Morgan Freeman Dead 2012″ are infuriating fans today. It was just weeks ago that three lines of attack surfaced against Freeman: websites, Facebook accounts, and fake tweets. But today, all that craziness has surfaced to strike the actor again. Morgan Freeman if very alive, but a series of RIP pages are prompting confusion Sunday.

The latest Morgan Freeman false death 2012 stories are originating on Facebook. A quick perusal reveals that there are at least four false “RIP” pages on Facebook. The first has the bizarre title “RIP Morgan Freeman” with the contradicting description “He’s still alive and well, stop believing what you see on the internet.” The second account has no description.

But one of the Facebook “RIP Morgan Freeman” accounts has grown to nearly one million followers. Currently nearly seven thousand people are talking about the fake assertions on that page Sunday.

Among the entries is the false claim that “At about 5 p.m. ET on Thursday, our beloved actor Morgan Freeman passed away due to an artery rupture.” The fake page adds “He will be missed but not forgotten. Please show your sympathy and condolences by commenting on and liking this page.”

Ironically, the page’s author also likes the “RIP Bill Cosby” Facebook page as well. But the level of confusion doesn’t end there. The author posted last weeks the following assertion: “FOX News just got hold of the news of Morgan Freeman , this is going viral. The world will not forget.” Fox News never did such a thing.

Beyond Facebook, Global Associated is falsely reporting Freeman dead today. In fact, Global has four different fake Freeman tales currently active, in different countries.

First, Global claims that “Morgan Freeman has been reported to be in serious condition and taken to Golden State Regional Hospital”. A second purports that the “actor fell more than 60 feet to his death on the Kauri Cliffs while on-s”.

A third claims he died in a sinking yacht off the coast of St. Tropez. And a fourth claims he has died in a snowboarding accident. “Witnesses indicate that Morgan Freeman lost control of his snowboard and struck a tree at a high rate of speed.” None of the four stories from Global are true. Morgan Freeman isn’t dead, nor is John Cena, Lil Wayne, or Ryan Seacrest.

Morgan Freeman False Death 2012 Page Prompts Demand for Changes

Morgan Freeman not died 2012 False Death Page Prompts Demand for Changes dead

LOS ANGELES (LALATE) – Morgan Freeman hasn’t died this September 2012. But a fake Facebook page called “Morgan Freeman Died 2012″ is now prompting demands for changes. This Sunday evening, the Morgan Freeman false death Facebook page has now grown to near one million “likes”, eclipsing any such similar controversy dominating news since 2011.

In 2011, fans got bombarded by the first glaring example of what became the Facebook “RIP” page. At the time, someone created a “RIP Jackie Chan” Facebook page. Jackie Chan was unhappy about the false death reports.

First, in March 2011, Chan had to issue a news statement denouncing the fake Facebook page. His rep told news on March 29 last year “Jackie is alive and well. He did not suffer a heart attack and die, as was reported on many social networking sites [Facebook] and in online news reports.” The rep also told news that “Jackie is fine and is busy preparing for the filming of his next movie.”

On August 17, the Facebook page began a second assault against Chan. Fans at the time demanded a change to Facebook’s policy about “RIP” pages. One wrote “Jackie Chan isn’t dead, I don’t like how anyone can make Facebook pages.” Today, that fake Jackie Chan death account has grown nearly eight hundred thousand likes.

Chan has not been the only celebrity to be struck by a fake “RIP” Facebook page. Beyonce has battled the same. But a year earlier, it was Justin Bieber, battling two attacks in one year alone.

Morgan Freeman Pictures Set 1

The first attempt against Bieber was in January 2010. A fake RIP Bieber Facebook page resulted in more than twenty-one thousand “likes” at the time. The erroneous page read “In January of 2010, the world lost a beloved soul. Justin Bieber, while attending a club with girlfriend Selena Gomez, got shot by an officer in an altercation. We will never forget this boy or his contributions to music.”

The same controversy struck Justin Bieber a second time on June 8 of that same year. Bieber denounced both such reports.

Yet, the latest attack against Freeman, however, is unlike anything that has surfaced on Facebook since Chan in 2011. On August 27, someone created the fake RIP Morgan Freeman page and wrote “At about 5 p.m. ET on Thursday, our beloved actor Morgan Freeman passed away due to a artery rupture.”
It added “Please show your sympathy and condolences by commenting on and liking this page.”

Despite hundreds of news reports denouncing the Facebook page as false, the page has drawn more than nine hundred thirty thousand “likes” and is still growing. Freeman, like Chan, has told news that he is alive and has denounced the Facebook page.

But fans are now demanding answers as to why these fake pages are allowed to exist. Facebook does state on its site that “Any user may create a Page to express support for or interest in a …. public figure”. The key word perhaps is “support”. While there is nothing supportive about of a celebrity by writing their fake death report, these Facebook pages continue to grow, angering both the fans and the celebrities.

Jackie Chan hasn’t died. Beyonce hasn’t been in a crash. As Morgan Freeman and Justin Bieber are very much alive.

2 Chainz Not Dead – Tauheed Epps Confronts False Death Report

Posted: September 16th, 2012 in 2 Chainz, Morgan Freeman by LALATE

2 Chainz Not Dead - Tauheed Epps Confronts False Death Report

ST LOUIS (LALATE) – 2 Chainz is not dead. Rapper 2 Chainz (real name Tauheed Epps) hasn’t died this September 2012. But last night, the Def Jam musician battled a fake death report. He is the latest rapper to be targeted this month. But the culprit behind the current 2 Chainz erroneous tale remains unknown.

On Saturday evening, a round of 2 Chainz false death reports surfaced online. This purportedly marks the first time that the Def Jam rapper has been struck by false death reports this year. But the timing of the fake claim is problematic.

In contrast, 2 Chainz has been the subject of false reports concerning his music  all summer long. In May, fake news reports surfaced that Kanye West had signed 2 Chainz to GOOD Music.

Epps quickly told news that it was yet another erroneous report. “He just said I’m good, like I’m ill. But we were talking and I think I was jeopardizing my brand sometimes by doing the homeboy special.” He also told news “So I think he felt like we should just put that out there that we aren’t doing no more of that.”

Since 2010, most celebrity death reports have struck male rappers. Today is no different. Among the most targeted rappers to date remain Lil Wayne and 50 Cent.

Behind the 50 Cent fake death reports has been Global Associated aka Media Fetcher. The death website currently in fact has three separate death tales striking 50 at the same time. One claims the rapper has died in a snowboarding accident in Zermatt. Another asserts that he has perished in a jet ski crash in Turks and Caicos/ And a third says that the rapper has died on a sunken yacht in France.

But despite the latest round of death reports striking 2 Chainz, the rapper has continued to tweet to fans that he is very much alive. Last night he told news “Stop with the rumors.” He also told news “We turning up tonight at the metroplex in Little Rock tonight.” This morning he told fans and news “Should b interesting. I chartered a bus so my whole hood kuld meet me n Miami. TurnUP virgos. Catch me on da yacht.” 2 Chainz is not dead, Adam Sandler hasn’t been on a snowboard, and Jackie Chan in alive.

Adam Lambert Not Dead – Singer Battles Fake Death Jet Ski Story

Adam Lambert Not Dead - Singer Battles Fake Death Jet Ski Story not died 2012

LOS ANGELES (LALATE) – Adam Lambert is not dead. The hit singer is the victim of a fake death story today. The fabricated tale claims that Adam Lambert died this September 2012 in a Turks and Caicos Islands jet ski crash. The same fake story has been used before against musicians and reality TV-stars. But Adam Lambert fans tonight are irate about this attack Saturday evening.

Morgan Freeman has not died this September 2012. Desmond Elliot death reports this week are false. But now, someone is targeting Adam Lambert, and fans are furious. There are at least two fabricated tales striking Adam Lambert tonight. Both are from Global Associated aka Mediafetcher.

The first fake Global story claims that Adam died on a jet-ski, even though he wasn’t on a jet ski today. “Musician – Adam Lambert dies following Jet-Ski crash in Turks and Caicos Islands” proclaims the fabricated Global story. The erroneous story then states “Musician Adam Lambert died while … in a Jet-Ski accident – September 15, 2012″.

The second fake Global story then claims that Adam died in a hospital today that doesn’t even exist. “Actor Adam Lambert hospitalized after traffic altercation” proclaims the false Global story. The erroneous story then states that Lambert is in “serious condition and taken to Golden State Regional Hospital after a minor traffic accident that escalated into a physical altercation in Fullerton CA.”

Yet, there is no such hospital with that name. The bizarre tale claims that Lambert’s “BMW struck a pickup truck towing landscaping equipment.” If the story sounds familiar, it should.

Lambert is the latest victim to be targeted by Global with jet ski and Fullerton car crash stories. As to the Fullerton story, Lambert joins Lil Wayne and Morgan Freeman, both previously targeted with the same tale. In March, Lil Wayne battled the same death report from Global Associated claiming that his “BMW struck a pickup truck towing landscaping equipment.” The same fake report has been used also against Tom Green.

But if Global isn’t killing off singers with pickup trucks, then it’s apparently using jet-ski accidents. Ja Rule, Bret Michaels, Chris Brown, and Mac Miller have all been subjected to the same fake jet ski story. Global today has taken a pre-written story about a jet-ski crash and simply swapped out Mac Miller’s name and added in Adam’s name. Both reports indicate at the bottom “this is …. based on zero truth and is a complete work of fiction for entertainment purposes”. It remains unclear what is entertaining in fabricating Adam Lambert’s death.

The fake jet ski crash story, however, is a relatively new fabricated tale. As a result, it caused confusion last December when used against J Cole. In recent months, Global Associated most often killed off music celebrities with their dubious Route 80 car crash story, and killed off film actors with the repeated Zermatt snowboard crash story.

Adam Lambert is not dead. Morgan Freeman hasn’t died. Mac Miller is alive and Lil Wayne hasn’t been on a jet-ski today.

Desmond Elliot Not Dead – Actor Battles Fake Death Report Today

Desmond Elliot Not Dead - Actor Battles Fake Death Report Today morgan freeman bill nye not died 2012

LOS ANGELES (LALATE) – Desmond Elliot is not dead. Desmond Elliot is the victim of a fake death report today stemming from a false Facebook image and post. On Friday September 14, 2012, someone wrote on Facebook that Elliot was dead. They posted what appeared to be a death picture. But then at the end of the post, they added a “qualifier” which read “And please don’t panic because its just a shot from the yet-to-be released Movie.”

Just days ago fans were asking if Morgan Freeman had died this September 2012. Now, Desmond Elliot joins Freeman and Bill Nye among the latest celebrities to be struck by fake death reports this month. Today’s tale derives from Facebook, once again. Fans, nevertheless, are irate.

Elliot is a Nigerian actor with more than two hundred credits to his name. But three hours ago, a Facebook account posted a picture of a man covered in blood. The text that went with the image read “BREAKING NEWS: Nigerian Actor Desmond Elliot found Motionless, drown in his blood in a Hotel in Nigeria”. The fake report claimed that Elliot had been murdered in a hotel room.

The false report later stated “Movie fans who first heard the news in Nigeria are in shaking feathers and Investigations are going-on of who might be behind his murder”. But at the bottom of the Facebook post, the author wrote”And please don’t panic because its just a shot from the yet-to-be released Movie”. Other websites, however, have since taken the body of the fake report, re-posted it to readers, but omitted the “please don’t panic” section.

Desmond Elliot is the second victim of a fake Nigeria death report this week. Days ago, online reports falsely claimed that Patience Jonathan had died. She hasn’t died either. Rather, the First Lady had been suffering from what officials called a purported “severe bout” of food poisoning.

Since 2011, fans have learned that fake death reports don’t always begin in the U.S.  In October, false overseas reports claimed that Sizzla Kalonji had died in a fake car crash.

“Witnesses have stated that Sizzla Kalonji’s car crossed the double lines several times prior to the accident and hit the center lane divider causing the vehicle to flip and roll” read the false death report at the time. Sizzla wasn’t in any crash at the time.

But unlike other celebrities, Sizzla at the time was not actively using social media. Hence the absence of comments by Sizzla on October 15 allowed the fake death story to confuse fans. The fake report would later resurface in spring 2012.

Nevertheless, Sizzla is not dead today, nor is Morgan Freeman. Bill Nye and Desmond Elliot are very much alive as are Miley Cyrus and Ryan Seacrest.

Morgan Freeman Not Dead – False Death 2012 Stories Prompt International Reaction

morgan freeman died 2012 Morgan Freeman Not Dead - False Death 2012 Stories Prompt International Reaction

LOS ANGELES (LALATE) – Morgan Freeman hasn’t died this September 2012. On Thursday, a fake Morgan Freeman death story surface online. Quickly, U.S. websites denounced the report as erroneous, attempting to end its assault of confusion. But last night, something unusual happened. In a rare occurrence, some entities internationally have now attempted to bring back to life these fake U.S. stories and confuse foreign fans of the actors.

On Friday night, international fans of the actor began to ask if Morgan Freeman had died this 2012 and if tales of Morgan Freeman’s death were true or erroneous. It seems as though the confusion was already to put to rest in the U.S. on Thursday and certainly by Friday. Even the actor’s rep issued a news statement denouncing these false claims and asserting that he was a victim of another round of fake death stories. But the reaction last night was not coming from U.S. It was rather coming internationally.

Morgan Freeman’s initial burst of erroneous death reports in the U.S. followed a month in which some celebrities were battling multiple fake death reports, simultaneously. In fact, today’s victims of fake celebrity death stories are no longer just rappers anymore. Film actors, even athletes, are now the victims of multiple culprits for these fake tales.

Sometimes they originated with fake social media accounts entitled “RIP”. In those, some individual begins an online memorials about the celebrities, suggesting wrongly that the celebrity has died.

Other times they originate with the fake retweet option. In those, some individual takes a leading news site’s Twitter handle and sends out a “RT@” to suggest that news of the celebrity has passed.

But the culprit behind many of the fake death tales in Global Associated aka Media Fetcher. With a series of pre-written templates, the website inserts a celebrity’s name into a fabricated death tale. Usually, the location is far away and the death story is catastrophic.

For example, Lil Wayne has nearly a handful of fake death tales from Global today. One claims he has died in a car crash in Los Angles. “Witness reports indicate that Lil Wayne’s BMW struck a pickup truck towing landscaping equipment” the fake tale claims. Another claims he has died on vacation on Parrot Cay in the Turks and Caicos Islands. He’s not on vacation there. But the fake tale reads that “Lil Wayne was the only passenger on the personal watercraft at the time of the incident”. And finally, Lil Wayne is not in Australia today. But a fake tale claims he “died in a single vehicle crash between Ipswich and Willowbank in Queensland”.

Often, it’s hard to determine what caused a U.S. fake death report to surface with such strength. But this weekend’s assault against Morgan Freeman internationally is exceptionally usually.

Nevertheless, fans are irate today. As Freeman told news in a statement Thursday, he is a victim of the continuing attack of fabricated death tales being lodged against celebrities. Morgan Freeman is not dead, nor is Lil Wayne, David Guetta, or Adam Sandler.
