LOS ANGELES (LALATE) – Singer Monica is not pregnant; newly engaged Monica and Shannon Brown are not expected a child, confirms the singer to Sandra Rose Monday. After months of exciting news for the Lakers star and singer, Monica told fans that reports of a pregnancy are false.

Monica suggests “happy weight” during a recent telecast may have been the cause of the questions. But she admits that even her publicist gave her a call on the subject.

Monica tweeted to Sanda Rose “My cousin just texted and asked ‘why are u the last to know’….. I am absolutely not pregnant. God’s Grace, Great kids, Great Family and Super good love sometimes = what we in the country call happy weight. LOL. No worries. … I have gotten tons of calls. Not because u said it. But my publicist said people are asking her. I didn’t look that different to me. LOL…. Oh, well.”

Brown said of Monica earlier this year a “confidant and a strong successful women”.

LOS ANGELES (LALATE) – Lakers Shannon Brown and singer Monica are engaged. Shannon Brown and Monica are getting married just months after a blogger’s reader spotted the two together in New York. In July, one reader wrote into a celebrity blog claiming that she spotted Monica with the Lakers star together in Times Square New York.”They appeared to be into each other. Shannon was laughing and Monica was smiling. Shannon is cutie! But I mean they could be here on business!”

In August, Brown was forced to fire back at one website’s false report that he was engaged to his baby mom when he met Monica. Brown has a child with a woman who, according to Sandra Rose at the time, was “running to the blogs” with allegations. Brown issued a news statement in August 2010 stating that “Monica is my girlfriend, confidant and a strong successful women that has been though a lot herself but she is in no way, a home wrecker. As a parent, I understand that parenting requires a partnership with my sons mother however the relationship between us fizzled a long time ago.

“Thus, never leading up to seven years, engagement or even talks of marriage. As parents, we have to continue to raise our son, and as individuals we both deserve happiness. Thank you for the support and God Bless!” He added “Thanks again everybody for all the love, I really appreciate every positive thought, word and comment.”

Monica is currently working on her new album with cousin Polow Da Don, reports Rap-Up. Monica has two sons with Rodney “Rocko” Hill, Rodney Ramone Hill III aka Lil’ Rocko, 5, and Romelo Montez Hill, 2.

LOS ANGELES (LALATE) – Shannon Brown confirmed he is dating Monica after LALATE’s report this weekend. Lakers Shannon Brown confirmed news that he and singer Monica have been dating but also fired back and false news reports, written elsewhere last week, about their relationship.

On Saturday, LALATE reported that Shannon Brown and Monica have been spotted cozy since at least July, with Monica recently headlining her own BET reality show and upcoming album. Brown has a child with a woman who, according to Sandra Rose, was “running to the blogs” with allegations about Brown. On Sunday, Brown took to Twitter to confirm the report here that he and Monica are in love calling Monica his “girlfriend, [a] confidant and a strong successful woman.” The Lakers star also fired back other websites’ false reports that he was engaged to his baby mom when he met Monica.

Brown told news this weekend “Monica is my girlfriend, confidant and a strong successful women that has been though a lot herself but she is in no way, a home wrecker. Rapper Rocko was featured on “Monica” last night but fans of Rocko will remember the rapper’s hit song Umma Do Me. That debut single for Rocko went top 10 in 2008 on both the R&B and Rap Billboard charts. Following that initial debut album “Self Made” (2008), Rocko (real named Rodney Ramone Hill Jr.) will drop “Complete” next year.

Rocko is Monica’s fiance and together the two music stars have two children, Rodney III and Romello. Rodney III and Romello join Monica in her new highly anticipated reality show premiering last night on BET.
