Debbie Rowe, Diana Ross Remain Silent about Jackson Guardianship Dispute
LOS ANGELES (LALATE) – Debbie Rowe and Diana Ross remained silent about the guardianship proceedings today concerning Michael Jackson’s children, Paris, Prince and Blanket Jackson. Debbie Rowe and Diana Ross are two people that the Court in the Jackson guardianship case seeks to hear from. In his will, Michael Jackson listed Rowe and Ross are substitute guardians for his mother, Katherine Jackson.
The Jackson Estate, and the eldest children, all informed the Court in documents today that they support Katherine Jackson’s replacement with TJ Jackson. The youngest child, Blanket, was not consulted about the matter.The Court in the Jackson matter shocked news today with its clear reversal during an early morning proceeding. Initially, the Court ruled that it was not going to remove Katherine Jackson as guardian for Michael’s children because of the provisions for Ross and Rowe. Michael Jackson had delineated in his estate documents that, should his mother not be able to provide care for her grandchildren, then Rowe or Ross would replace Ms. Jackson.
Superior Court Judge Mitchell Beckloff, however, said that he was convinced by statements by TJ Jackson’s attorney, Charles Shultz, that the matter could be rolled over to another hearing date because of concern for the children. Rather than wait and hear from Rowe and Ross, the court decided to appoint TJ on a temporary basis.
Beckloff, who first said he wouldn’t hear from TJ’s attorney today, suddenly by the end of proceeding appointed TJ to the temporary position and even asked for TJ to petition the Court for permanent status. Beckloff would not explain what prompted his reversal during the proceeding.
But other parties remained silent still in the matter. Ross and Rowe have yet to comment about the matter. Yet, Katherine Jackson’s attorney, Perry Sanders Jr., appeared today in court and opposed the ruling. But Sanders also said that Jackson will fight not be to be replaced.
Sources claim that Rowe has allegedly disapproves of having her children raised by Jackson’s brothers. Roger Friedman claims that “when Paris Jackson first Tweeted the news that her grandmother was missing, Debbie [Rowe] dropped everything she was doing in northern California for her ranch business and headed straight to Calabasas.”
Unconfirmed reports claim that Rowe is super close with Katherine Jackson but opposed to Michael Jackson’s brothers raising her children. One report claims that “Debbie and Katherine were able to reach an out of court custody agreement in the months after Michael died. Debbie had no interest in fighting Katherine for custody of the children. However, if Katherine has suffered a health setback, this could very easily end up back in court because Debbie has very strong feelings about Michael’s siblings having any role in caring for the children.â€
