Mexican Cartel Queen Sandra Avila Beltran Pleads Guilty

LOS ANGELES (LALATE) – Mexican Cartel Queen Sandra Avila Beltran has pled guilty in a U.S. case. Sandra Avila Beltran published the book The Queen of the Pacific: Time to Talk,. She also is referenced in the song by Los Tucanes de Tijuana as La Reina del Pacifico”.
But now the Mexican Cartel Queen has pleaded guilty in a major trafficking case after years of legal battles. She pled guilty to being an accessory after the fact in a case involving her then boyfriend Juan Diego Espinosa Ramirez.
Officials claimed that the she worked between Mexico’s Sinaloa cartel and Colombia’s Norte Valle cartel. She will be sentenced in July. Officials say that she could spend fifteen years in prison. She is currently 52 years old. Prosecutors have yet to indicate their sentencing recommendations.
In the song by Los Tucanes, they band wrote “The boss ordered everyone to hold their fire. Out came a beautiful lady, dressed in camo and [carrying] and [AK-47]. . .. She was the famous Queen of the Pacific and its shores, the strong lady of the business, a true heavyweight.”
Sandra Avila Beltran has been in custody since her arrest in 2007. She was indicated by a federal grand jury three years earlier.
