LOS ANGELES (LALATE) – Melissa Rycroft returns as the new host of “Bachelor Pad” (ABC). Bachelor Pad reunites “The Bachelor” and “The Bachelorette” former stars in a single mansion with a chance to win $250,000, announces the network this week.

The series premieres August 9 at 8 PM. “The Bachelor” and “The Bachelorette”  Chris Harrison will co-host. ABC says the following about the series:

“Twenty of the most unforgettable contestants/suitors from the hit franchise “The Bachelor” will reunite – all under one roof – for the all-new series “Bachelor Pad.” The series, the first “all-star” reunion from previous seasons of “The Bachelor” and “The Bachelorette,” will feature the participants living together in a house in a competitive reality show. The show will also offer the 20 now-single contestants a “second chance” at finding love, something that didn’t quite work out during their first stint on “The Bachelor” or “The Bachelorette.” “

Rycroft tells PEOPLE that she’s excited. “It’s fun. It’s a brand new experience for me. I’ve never been on that side but I’m anxious. I’m excited and ready to start.”

Adds ABC: “Each week the reunited contestants will compete in challenges, some of which are inspired by incidents from prior seasons. Each two-hour episode will conclude with evictions from the residence.”

The series has a 6-episode run.

She’s 26, he’s 28. Strickland is reportedly an insurance agent.

Rycroft previously told press about Tye:

“He’s my best friend”.

So cute. The wedding date has yet to be set.

Melissa Rycroft is dating Ty! Ty who? Rycroft won’t say other than that Ty is in insurance.

The Bachelor’s reject, now kicking up her heels on Dancing with the Stars, is dancing to another beat …of a man’s heart.

She reveals to US Weekly that Ty is an insurance agent that she had been friends with for sometime. And then suddenly it clicked.

Melissa Rycroft is joining Dancing with the Stars. Bachelor’s Melissa Rycroft and Holly Madison are your Dancing with the Stars replacements for Jewel and Nancy O’Dell. Melissa Rycroft joins Dancing with the Stars just days after she said she is “done” with reality tv.

That is until this new paycheck!

Melissa Rycroft replaces Nancy O’Dell, Madison replacing Jewel, both out with injuries.

Rycroft had said she had promised herself and fans that she “decided to move on from my reality television days, and get some sense of normalcy back to my life.”

Melissa tells Ellen DeGeneres that the emails are real.

So last night didn’t go NEAR how I thought. I didn’t think I would be that angry (I’m not sure I’ve EVER been that angry to be honest with you….), but I’m sorry for how heated I got. At the same time though, I’m not. I still can’t believe how you can’t give reasons other than ‘It changed.’

In relationships (especially ones where commitments are involved), you FIGHT, you TRY, you COMMUNICATE to make things work. You know as well as I do that you didn’t give 100% to me or the relationship. And I don’t understand how you can walk away from something without giving it your all – but I am walking away knowing I did.

And getting confirmation about Molly in front of people like that was a complete classless move if you ask me – how could you do that to me after I repeatedly asked you about it??? I’m not stupid, I knew about Molly…knew you guys had been talking….and you lied to me about it. For you to choose to b e with someone who most of the girls in the house didn’t get a long with, and bashed me when she left, then more power to you both. You owed it to me to tell me this before last night…and I can’t believe you did that to me publicly. I can’t even tell you how much respect I lost for you….but it makes this whole process from here on out much easier for me.
