Mary J Blige Dress at Diane von Furstenberg
Mary J Blige bought a dress last week for a girl that had saved up for it but still couldn’t afford it.The wonderful Mary J. Blige dress story comes out of New York City at the Diane von Furstenberg store in the Meatpacking District.
Reportedly there Blige heard at the register a girl talking about a dress she had put on hold that she was saving up for. The girl had saved up the $500 for the dress and had returned to buy it only to find out that she was mistaken, that the dress was really $900, and she would not be able to afford it.
Blige reportedly told the saleswoman, “Go get the girl. I want to pay for the balance on the dress.” When the girl refused Mary’s offer, the singer simply said, “I know what it’s like to want something and not be able to have it. I insist.” And Mary wouldn’t accept a check from the girl later on. “Just enjoy it. I’m blessed, so let me do this.”
God I love Mary. Always have, always will.
