Mimi Alford Photos from JFK Affair Reveal Dave Powers Encounter Also
LOS ANGELES (LALATE) – Mimi Alford (photos below) claims her JFK mistress affair included a Dave Powers intimate encounter as well. Mimi Alford aka Mimi Beardsley or Marion Fahnestock pictures dominated news three years ago when LALATE reported that the former JFK White House intern was set to publish a book about her alleged affair. Now as Mimi Alford reveals details about that affair to national news, she is also set to detail how Dave Powers allegedly asked JFK if he could have an intimate encounter with Alford as well. Mimi Alford says she agreed, and did so with Dave Powers as President Kennedy watched.
Mimi Alford’s allegations didn’t just surface this week on a network TV broadcast. They were revealed nearly a decade earlier in a 2003 book “An Unfinished Life: John F. Kennedy, 1917-1963″ written by Robert Dallek. Barbara Gamarekian told Dallek that she knew about an intern that had an affair with JFK. Because of Alford’s name changes over the years, New York news had difficulty tracking her down until 2006.
It remains unclear how many women that JFK was having an affair with. The reports detail a bastion of women who would join him in “swimming pool” past times. But one woman that Gamarekian knew about was “Mimi” who had a “special relationship” with JFK. These “swimming friends” who would walk around in bikinis were detailed extensively by Gamarekian.
The Daily News was the first to uncover Mimi in 2003. At the time, she was Marion Fahnestock. When asked if Gamarekian’s allegations were true, Mimi told news that they were correct.

The passage of time from 2003 to 2012 remains unexplained. But six years after the Dallek book, “Mimi” by 2006 was now Mimi Beardsley Alford, married to a former sports marketing executive. For reasons still unknown, in 2009, Mimi Beardsley Alford decided to break her silence. She inked what has been described as a seven figure deal with Random House.
And yet, in 2009, LALATE reported news that the book was set to be released that year. Random House extensively detailed passages of the book for news at the time. But the book didn’t hit shelves for several years.

But now, three years after those news interviews, the book is finally being released. The affair started when the now Mimi Alford was 19 years old. She writes in her book that JFK asked her to have relations with Dave Powers in front of him.
“Lightning had struck. Later that day, Mimi was invited by Dave Powers, the president’s ‘first friend’ and later the longtime curator of the Kennedy Library in Boston, to an after-work party. When she arrived at the White House residence, Powers and two other young female staffers were waiting. Powers poured, and frequently refilled, her glass with daiquiris until the commander-in-chief arrived.
She adds “The president invited her for a personal tour. She got up, expecting the rest of the group to follow. They didn’t. He took her to ‘Mrs. Kennedy’s room.’” She further writes “I noticed he was moving closer and closer. I could feel his breath on my neck. He put his hand on my shoulder. The next thing she knew, he was standing above her, looking directly into her eyes and guiding her to the edge of the bed.”

Alford tells news that she never kissed JFK on the lips. She writes that JFK wanted to stay with her day and night. Moreover, Alford was set to get married. But in seven days before JFK’s assassination, JFK asked Mimi Alford to join him in Texas because he felt lonely. “He took me in his arms for a long embrace and said, ‘I wish you were coming with me to Texas.’ And then he added, ‘I’ll call you when I get back.’ I was overcome with sudden sadness. ‘Remember, Mr. President, I’m getting married’”.
Her interview airs tonight on NBC News Rock Center. Alford will reveal her time before the White House, during the affair, and her private grieving following JFK’s death and later in life. She reportedly will tell news that the JFK murder left a shadow on her life, so much so, that the pain would destroy her future marriage.
