LALATE told you reports Mariah Carey is house buying in Los Angeles. But Fleur de Lys? Fleur de Lys is reportedly in the radar of Mariah Carey’s house hunting.

Of course, believe it for its worth.

Just earlier this week LALATE told you not to believe reports that Carey is considering a move to anti-mansionized, we-don’t-like-tall-walls-and-fences Santa Monica.

LALATE back then put forward the three communities that fit Carey:

1. Tower Road, Bel Air

2. Brentwood Park

3. Palisades Riveria, Pacific Palisades

Now a new report claims  Fleur de Lys is within Mariah’s consideration. Is it? The home is listed at $125 million, was built by Texan billionaire David Saperstein, is five acres in Beverly Hills, owned by Saperstein’s ex wife. Reports claims she has gotten an offer from Mariah.

Believe it for its worth. No comment by Carey.

Mariah Carey and Nick Cannon are moving to Santa Monica? Yeah right.  While LALATE use to host many a Nick Cannon Hollywood event in the years, even months, before his marriage to the pop singer, chatter bugs says New York babe Mariah is set to move her home base to Santa Monica.

Just imagine – Mariah doing the stairs at 7th. Mariah hanging out Twilight’s studio office, doing lunch at MTV next door, hitting up the Ivy at the Shore.

It’s so believable.

That is until you to get to the … drought free landscaping requirements, low fence and wall requirements, anti-mansionizin’ rule. 

Yep, Santa Monica is not for Mariah.

A tattler said,

“She and [husband] Nick Cannon are looking for houses in Santa Monica. They want to move to Los Angeles permanently. She wants to act more and she has to be on the West Coast to do that. And well, then, he’s got his . . . career. Whatever that is.”

Yeah, she’ll look in Santa Monica. And then she’s buy in Brentwood next to Conan, the Palisades next to Arnold, or Bel Air next to Beckhams.

Mariah Carey said of the Barack Obama tonight:

What do you think of Mariah’s performance? It was not good. Mariah started this song in a much higher key than it was originally written. Until half way through the song, Mariah really didn’t pull it together. Mariah is LALATE’s girl, but this performance was lackluster.
