One year later, she was a walk-in for the Caracas Beach 2006 Fashion Show at the Mall Sambil Caracas.

Far before becoming Marc Anthony’s novia revealed on Twitter, Shannon de Lima (pics below) was in Caracas competing for the Miss Earth Venezuela 2005 competition. de Lima was a first runner up, losing to Alexandra Braun. Unlike de Lima, Braun was able to use her finish to become a sensation, internationally. Last year, she dominated movie theatres with her role in ¨Hasta que la muerte nos separe¨.

The revelation comes after weeks of J Lo being seen with her own novio, Casper Smart. Lopez has yet to comment about the de Lima revelation.

Shannon de Lima, a famed model in her native Venezuela, has rarely dominated U.S. news. But today that changed. Marc Anthony took to his Twitter page to reveal that he hasn’t been single since last fall. In Spanish, Anthony wrote to De Lima “To my @Shadelima my statue of liberty. Kisses, baby.”

Friends congratulated the couple on twitter, some calling them “The 2012 couple.” Some reports claim the couple have been dating for several months. But unlike J Lo and Smart, Anthony and de Lima had kept their relationship quiet. Ironically, de Lima and Smart are the same age.
