Luka Magnotta Video Surveillance Records Fugitive in Paris
LOS ANGELES (LALATE) – Luka Magnotta video surveillance recorded the Canadian fugitive in Paris recently. Luka Rocco Magnotta is recorded in a French airport security checkpoint days ago, officials confirm to news. Interpol released the above image to news capturing Luka Magnotta; but Interpol would not confirm where and when the French video was recorded. The details surfaced as local news confirmed Interpol almost apprehended Luka Magnotta in Paris in the last forty-eight hours.
On Friday, LALATE reported news that the Canadian resident had fled to Paris. Luka Magnotta was the subject of an international manhunt by Interpol. Traveling as either Eric Clinton Newman or Vladimir Romanov, Magnotta is believed to be repeatedly changing his appearance. Some news reports claim that Magnotta is now disguising himself as a woman.
But on Sunday, Interpol released the above image from a surveillance video. Interpol would not identify the airport. But French newspaper Le Figaro claims the surveillance video is clearly of Paris Charles de Gaulle Airport. Moreover, Le Figaro is claiming that the imagery is far earlier than previously suspected. The newspaper is claiming that the imagery of Magnotta is not from last Friday but as early as May 26, 2012.
Depicted with dark hair, Magnotta is believed to have been constantly changing his appearance. He reportedly, however, narrowly escaped a police raid in Bagnolet over the weekend.
After being spotted in bars in Paris, Magnotta was reportedly staying with a friend. But the case took a dramatic turn after Magnotta allegedly accessed his gaming account online using his mobile device. That mobile signal traced him to Bagnolet.
Police Commander Ian Lafreniere is now confident that Magnotta arrived in Paris on May 26. Magnotta allegedly went to a nightclub that night and ended up spending the next two evenings with a random person he allegedly met in the club, far before news of his warrant spread intentionally. He was seen in the Bastille district, and in the Batignolles district as late as last Friday.
After he left the male’s apartment, the news broke internationally. At that point, the man quickly called police. “After he left, the man realized who he had had staying and contacted us. It is then thought he went out in the evenings drinking in the Bastille district and staying in a cheaper hotel in the east of the city,” Le Parisien is reporting. Magnotta is believed to have stayed at another high-end hotel in the Champs-Elysees the next day.
Magnotta has been charged with the death of Jun Lin, 33, who was visiting Montreal for studies and allegedly dating Magnotta at the time of his murder.
