Fans are bothered by the lack of uncertainty. Many contend that the show is one of the funniest cable realities TV shows on air, and certainly on WETV. As the petition reads “According to multiple sources, WEtv has not confirmed that there will be a #JKB season 3. Anyone who watches the show knows that this is simply unacceptable because #JKB is hands down one of the funniest shows on TV and undoubtedly the funniest reality show. It’s simply mind boggling that WEtv would not pick this show up for a 3rd season, and that is why we #JKB fans have to make sure it happens.”
WETV has yet to comment about whether they are still considering a third season or not.

In March of 2011, WeTv called the show a ratings hit. “Joan Knows Best? has proven to be a hit for WE TV and we’re thrilled to offer a fresh new season to our enthusiastic viewers, and continue our relationship with Joan and Melissa,” said John Miller, senior vice president of original productions & development, WE TV and Wedding Central. “Each episode features an intimate sneak peek into the lives of this famous pair, and sheds light on what we as viewers don’t usually get to see. This is a mother and daughter who love each other madly but experience the same ups and downs as all of us. It’s this aspect that makes the show so relatable and fun for women.”
