Rivera was 24. The incident happened in Spotlight Live Sunday. Details first broke by New York Daily News and have been eported to you throughout today here on LALATE. This comes following the discovery of Rivera’s body stuffed in an electrical box room on the roof of the building that houses Spotlight Live Wednesday.

Moments ago, the NY Times reported that Sayed Rahman “told the police that he struck the woman, Ingrid Rivera, 24, of Queens on the back of the head with a metal pipe.” No other details yet are know including whether it was intentional or not, and whether that in fact caused her death.

The article in the Times only says of Rahman’s confession as follows: Rahman, “an employee of a Midtown karoake bar was charged in the slaying” that happened during a celebrity-packed evening featuring the birthday of Lil’ Kim. … “Mr. Kelly said Sayed Rahman, who works at the Spotlight Live, told the police that he struck the woman, Ingrid Rivera, 24, of Queens on the back of the head with a metal pipe.”

But the location where Ingrid Rivera’s body was found Wednesday, stuffed in an electrical room on the roof, is causing investigators to believe Ingrid Rivera’s death is connected with someone who knew the layout of the Spotlight Live building.

Says the New York Times moments ago, “The investigator said that the killer was probably familiar with the layout of the building because of where the woman’s body was found. Emergency medical workers pronounced the victim dead at the scene, the police said. The official cause of death would be determined by the medical examiner’s office, the police said.”

Initial reports say that Rivera suffered a blow to the back of her head, possibly with a champagne bottle. She was also reportedly in a heated discussions with a particular security guard.

A friend of Rivera’s who was not at the club says from second hand “The last time Ingrid was seen she was talking to the bouncer.”

A maintenance worker Wednesday found Inrid’s body stuffed in a rooftop electrical room about Spotlight Live located at Times Square New York.

The birthday bash for Lil Kim that Rivera attended featured in attendance celebrities Missy Elliott, Busta Rhymes, Lamar Odom and Wyclef Jean.

Says the New Daily News that broke the horrific details, “A spokesman for the rap diva said she did not know Rivera and knew nothing of the attack until Wednesday night.”

Rivera was a beautiful young woman that worked for British Airways.

While the details are in dispute, and under investigation, one thing is true: Rivera is gone, the only child to a single mother who tried her whole life to provide for that only child. “I was a single mother for all my life. I work hard for her” said her mother. “The truth I don’t know,” Estrada said. “All I know is my daughter is not alive, that somebody killed her.”

Rivera died by blow to the back of the head. But by who.

The club has not been able to be reached for comment by the Daily News.
