Leona Lewis with Led Zeppelin’s Jimmy Page have been added to the names of British representatives for the Beijing Olympics Closing Ceremonies. Leona Lewis will give with Page a performance in the Beijing Olympics Closing Event alongside Boris Johnson, mayor of London, host of the next Summer Olympics.

Pop singer Leona Lewis is from Hackney, East London. She is reported to be singing a duet with Led Zeppelin’s Jimmy Page during the Closing Ceremony, the song yet not known. That’s a huge honor for Lewis, just 23, who will be seen by 150 million people worldwide.

Meantime more details about David Beckham’s Olympic entrance during the ceremony are now coming out. Beckham, 33, will enter the Bird’s Nest on a Routemaster double decker bus where he will come out with children of the world.

Johnson will receive the flag as the host of the next Olympics game. PLUS! … There is said to be a show in Trafalgar Square with street events in 10 British cities to be telecast during the Olympic closer.

CLOTHING! Leona Lewis is getting her own clothing line with Topshop. Leona’s line with introduce women’s clothes for the British fashion co TopShop says a new report.

“Leona is really excited. I’m sure her bank manager — or should that be Simon Cowell— is too. It will make her an absolute packet,” a source tells The Sun.

“She’s a beautiful girl and a huge star but also has a great girl-next-door quality that means her style will appeal to lots of young women.”

Recently adding celebrity clothing lines are Aubrey O’Day’s t shirts and Chris Brown’s hat line. Celebrity clothing hitmakers Jessica Simpson and Jennifer Lopez have also recently expanded their clothing and branding businesses due to recent success.

Despite tabloid reports of another rehab visit, Amy Winehouse has big gigs lined up. Now included is a peformance at Nelson Mandela’s 46664 Concert. The event is to celebrate Mandela’s 90th birthday at London’s Hyde Park on June 27.

Wow, now THAT is an event LALATE would love to be at. The concert will include performances by Leona Lewis, Annie Lennox, Dame Shirley Bassey, Razorlight and appearances by Oprah Winfrey, Will Smith, Robert DeNiro and Forest Whitaker.

Meantime, tabloid reports today say that Amy Winehouse and hot mess Pete Doherty are getting closer.

Mariah Carey wil appear on ELLEN to talk about her Nick Cannon wedding. The Mariah Carey ELLEN video broadcast will aire May 13.Online reports today say that Mariah will spill the beans on her marriage to Nick Cannon to Ellen DeGeneres during a May 12 taping.

(Do you think she’ll still be married to Nick Cannon by then?)

Mariah appeared on Ellen several months ago (and also on Oprah). But it will be Ellen who reportedly (at least for now) that will get the TV exclusive interview with Mariah.

In other news, Nick Cannon was spotted by photographers today allegedly hiding his wedding ring from view. (Oh please, grow up kid.)

Earlier this week, Oprah revealed she had spotted a “Mrs Cannon” tattoo on the back of Mariah SEVERAL weeks before her marriage. Since then Cannon admitted to People.com that friends had spotted the tat too, proving the marriage was not so last second as it played out in the press.

Meantime, Carey’s “Touch My Body” has fallen dramatically on the Billboard 100. It didn’t even hold number 1 more than one week with Leona Lewis “Bleeding Love” taking back the position. Chatter has repeatedly claimed that Lewis is a modern reinvention of a younger Mariah Carey from look to music.

Leona Lewis and Lil Wayne continue to remain this week at the top of the Billboard Charts.

Lil Wayne “Lolipop” remains the top airplay song in the nation with Leona Lewis “Bleeding Love” the 5th week at number 1. Yep, it’s Leona and Lil, not Madonna and Mariah, are the top in the nation with singles.

Madonna’s “4 Minutes” has not and appears will not go to number 1! Mariah’s “Touch My Body” only had one week at number 1 and fell after that.

The surprise in the pack: LALATE’s fav Ray J.

Ray J remains in the top 5 for nearly 14 weeks with “Sexy Can I”. Congrats to Ray J.

Leona has remained number 1 five non consecutive weeks, one of the longest runs so far for 2008.

Chris Brown “Forever” Number 1?

Could singer Chris Brown finally go to number 1 with his new single, “Forever”?

LALATE says yes. Brown’s “Forever” was highest premiere on the Billboard Hot 100, premiering at number 9, this week.Brown’s single “With You” only got to number 2 on the chart, while his duet with Jordin Sparks “No Air” seems to have not enough air to move up its best spot at number 3.

This week’s Billboard list is a shocker.

Madonna cannot get to number 1 with “4 Minutes”, Mariah plummets with “Touch my Body”, while Leona Lewis jumps right back into the number 1 position with “Bleeding Love” that charted at number 1 before Carey’s single debuted.

Barry Weiss replaces Clive Davis as BMG head, jumps from Zomba (Chris Brown, Britney Spears)

The ranks at music label BMG have changed.

The legend Clive Davis is out as Chairman and CEO at BMG. In: Barry Weiss.

Davis will take on the title of chief creative officer at Sony BMG. Weiss will now oversea RCA Records (Christina Aguilera), Jive, J Records, LaFace, Arista, Volcano, Verity, GospoCentric and Fo Yo Soul.

Weiss was the president and CEO of Zomba that grew Jive Records into a powerhouse with names Britney Spears, Usher, the Backstreet Boys, Justin Timberlake, ‘N Sync, Chris Brown, T-Pain.

Davis found Whitney Houston and has been a force behind all the recent American Idols and most recently also Leona Lewis.

Mariah Carey Number 1 Album Next Week Biggest Album Opener in Years

LALATE called it. Leona Lewis this week is setting records as the first British female to premiere her album at number one on the U.S. charts.

But next week that will change when Mariah Carey’s album opens. Leona sold 205,000 copies of Spirit its first week. But Mariah E=MC2 has already sold 154,000 its FIRST DAY!

Mariah has done one of the best marketing campaigns in years. And now it could pay off with one of the biggest album openers in many, many years.

She will go to number 1.
