Conrad who has now departed from the (once hit but now sinking ratings) reality show is dishing up about her former job while promoting her own new project, a novel called L.A. Candy.

She dishes also about the Speidi wedding saying she had mixed emotions about attending:

“It’s a little hard to understand now, but a long time ago — years ago, we moved here together, we were best friends and we used to say – ‘Someday, at our wedding.’ I felt like it was a few hours of my time and as much as I didn’t agree with it, I might some day regret not doing it.”

Lauren Conrad is finally done with The Hills. Lauren blogged her exit from The Hills yesterday, her final episode having aired last night on MTV:  Says LC:

Last night was my last episode of “The Hills”. It was a bittersweet night for me. A part of me is sad to say goodbye to something that has been such a prominent part of my life, but I know that it was time and I am very happy with my decision. I want to take this opportunity to thank everyone who has watched and supported me over the years. While putting my personal relationships and struggles on television wasn’t always easy, the support I received from people made such a difference. Because of all of you, I was able to accomplish so many aspirations and for that I am very grateful. So, THANK YOU EVERYONE!!!

I have some interesting projects in the works and I will keep you all updated.

From what I’ve heard the next season will not disappoint

Yes, expect the show to exit too, right of the ratings charts, with no LC in its lead.

The Hills Season 6 - out Lauren Conrad, in Kristin Cavallari and Audrina Patridge? The Hills Season 6 confirmed yesterday only one surprise - that Audrina Patridge is back despite initial reports she would leave after Season 5 for her own reality show with Mark Burnett.

MTV says also “fresh faces” will join.

But now chatter bugs say one new face could be (drumroll) Kristin Cavallari! Kristin Cavallari was spotted at the Speidi wedding last weekend, an appearance which many insiders believe served a functional purpose in the show’s storyline for season 6.

Kristin Cavallari took over for Laguna Beach after Lauren headed to college. She also formerly dated Brody Jenner who is also signed on for the new season. Kristen was equally chattered to join The Hills for Season 4 in 2007.

No confirmation from Kristin Cavallari or MTV to the reports.

Lauren Conrad for Kohl’s is LC’s new clothing line announced tonight. Lauren Conrad at Khol’s features women’s clothing at a different price level than her Lauren Conrad Collection that went on hiatus just 30 days ago.

The line will start with clothing priced $20 to $60 hitting Kohl’s stores and website this October. Other fashion items like shoes and and sleepwear could follow.

LC tells US Weekly tonight:

“It was just kind of a battle I had because I wanted to do a higher-end line — I wanted to do a contemporary line — but I was also very aware that the reason I was able to do it at such a young age was because of fans that have supported the show and have supported me.”

And with economically priced clothing doing well in today’s downturn, it certainly made sense too. Conrad says she’s also a longtime shopper and fan of the store.

Lauren Conrad has a new book. LC’s book is … LAC.

Lauren Conrad’s “L.A. Candy” is a novel hitting shelves June 16. Conrad’s L.A. Candy is one of a series of young adult novels for HarperCollins.Today Lauren writes Moabout the first book:

The books will be loosely inspired by my own experience and are definitely influenced by my own life. Some of the characters may symbolize people in my life, but it is in no way calling anyone out…I’ve always loved books that I could lose myself in, ones that would transport me to another place, but had characters I could relate to. So, I’m so excited to have this opportunity to wirte books like that for other readers.

LALATE told you in 2008 The Hills was ending. Now Lauren Conrad confirms The Hills will end. The ending will be Season 5.

Lauren tells 17 the week:

“My biggest thing with the show was that I wanted to walk away from it while it’s still a great thing. I always want to remember it that way. I gave MTV a deadline and said, ‘This is as long as I can do it and stay sane,’ “

Predictions
1. Speidi will get a series NOT on MTV, and it will do well
2. Audrina will get a series on MTV and it will fail.

Audrina Patridge still has more to say about Justin Bobby and Lauren Conrad. Do you think Audrina Patridge should find a subject other than Justin Bobby and Lauren Conrad to discuss? Not so thinks Audrina.

In her new blog post, Patridge is at again. She writes the following:

In last night’s episode, Lauren and I resolved things ~ I guess third time’s the charm! After the smoke finally cleared we were both able to sit down and have an actual adult conversation. I didn’t ask to be informed, falsely or otherwise, that my “best friend” and my “boyfriend” were involved in some carnal activity. It was very disturbing to have a rumor, that could have easily been killed, thrown in my face over and over again.

I just want to put it on record that never did I EVER call Lauren a “sl –,” “bad friend,” “shady person,” etc… I simply asked her a question and that’s how she interpreted it. I didn’t go around town running my mouth either. I confided in Heidi because she knows how Lauren works and when Lauren hung up on me and was acting like a child, I obviously thought the worst. I do always find it interesting to watch the episodes and see what senseless gossip people come up with!

Bottom line, Justin and Lauren treating me like I wasn’t worthy of an explanation was almost worse than the rumor itself, and it only got worse the harder I tried to get a genuine answer. Instead, I got screamed at and they both got super defensive. Let me just remind everyone that this rumor didn’t appear out of thin air, they were both at the same place at the same time, but apparently what was said to have happened never actually did. I am very glad this whole thing is over and this blog will be the last time I address the issue.

As for Justin, his inexcusable behavior has become somewhat expected at this point and I just want to say that if I were looking for a serious relationship, I would definitely be looking elsewhere! Dealing with a situation such as this one, where the two people who you really need to talk to are the very same two who turn their backs on you and treat you like you mean nothing, has really opened my eyes. I have never been one to holg grudges though, life is just too precious. So I guess I learned a very valuable lesson this week ~ communication is NOT key, so if something bothers you, keep your mouth shut and smile, or you will end up apologizing later.
