“Lauren Conrad Beauty” Book Revealed

Posted: October 26th, 2011 in Lauren Conrad by LALATE

Lauren Conrad with The Fame Game Becoming Prolific Author of a Generation

LOS ANGELES (LALATE) – “Lauren Conrad Beauty”, Conrad’s newest book, was confirmed to news moments ago. In Lauren Conrad “Beauty”, Conrad will offer fans something that LC says they have been asking for. In April, LALATE reported that Conrad inked another three book deal with her publisher HarperCollins. Conrad’s “Candy” books will be followed with her “The Fame Game” novels. The story, like the Hills, will take one character from “Candy” named Madison and spin her off into the “Fame” books.

But today, Conrad revealed to fans and news her latest project. “I am also working on another book: “Lauren Conrad BEAUTY”! Like Lauren Conrad Style, my beauty book will be your ultimate guide for all things beauty.” She tells fans that the book will enable her to “my personal insights, instructions and tips to keep you looking glamorous 365 days a year. I’ll address everything from how your diet affects skincare and fun hairstyles for a night out to one simple thing you can do each day to freshen up your look.”

She adds “I am currently working on Lauren Conrad Beauty and I want to make sure I address all of your questions, because this book is for you.” No release date has yet been confirmed to news.

Lauren Conrad with The Fame Game Becoming Prolific Author of a Generation

LOS ANGELES (LALATE) – Lauren Conrad is becoming one the biggest, and certainly most prolific, authors of her generation in inking yet another three-book deal. Lauren Conrad’s books have transcended any trivial Brody Jenner faux-reality storyline, and night at Les Deux with Audrina and the Hills girls. Conrad has proved her talents with the pen far outweigh her years in reality TV.

Moreover, as compared to other celebrities reported on LALATE in the last four years, Lauren Conrad, by all accounts, remains one of the few reality TV stars that is universally liked. But while she was unlucky in love on TV, even unlucky in securing a new reality show for MTV this year, Conrad is proving that with the pen she has become mighty, perhaps the mightiest, author of her generation.

This month, Conrad ink another three book deal with her publisher HarperCollins. For publishing insiders, the question remains whether this is just the latest round of books to come for the still young author over the next few decades.

Conrad’s “Candy” books will be followed with her “The Fame Game” novels. The story, like the Hills, will take one character from “Candy” named Madison and spin her off into the “Fame” books. It’s much like what happened to Conrad from “Laguna Beach” to “The Hills”.

Conrad still credits her fans for her success. She once said “Because of all of you, I was able to accomplish so many aspirations and for that I am very grateful.”

Lauren Conrad Reality Show Intro Prompts MTV Draws Criticism

Lauren Conrad Reality Show Intro Prompts MTV Draws Criticism

LOS ANGELES (LALATE) – The introduction for Lauren Conrad’s canceled MTV reality show for 2011 has been released. And while LC’s show intro is drawing top praise from fans, it’s also drawing resounding criticism against MTV for canceling the program before it even aired.

In September 2010, LALATE first announced that Conrad’s new reality show would land at MTV. Lauren Conrad’s reality show was picked up by MTV after months of multiple networks allegedly fighting for broadcast rights.

Earlier that same year, Conrad had told news that she wanted to return to reality TV but on her own terms. “The only way I’d return to reality television would be if it allowed me to decide when the cameras stop,” she previously told US Magazine. Conrad had previously told fans in 2009 that she had struggled with “putting my personal relationships and struggles on television” previously.

Less than one month later, Conrad’s bosses Tony DiSanto and Liz Gateley left MTV.

Suddenly, in February, MTV canceled the show before even airing a single episode. In a statement to news at the time, Conrad said ”MTV felt the subject matter was too high brow for their audience and offered me the opportunity to change the show by incorporating more of my personal life….We delivered the show that we sold and are sorry MTV didn’t feel their viewers were savvy enough to appreciate it.”

Today fans are supporting Conrad.”Everyone would be watching this” and “agree with you, I would have totally watched this” are among the comments in support of Conrad heating up YouTube today.

Lauren Conrad Kyle Howard Engagement Reports Are False

Lauren Conrad Kyle Howard Engagement Reports Are False

LOS ANGELES (LALATE) – Lauren Conrad Kyle Howard engagement reports in today’s New York Post are false, confirms LC’s rep. Lauren Conrad is dating Kyle Howard but the two are not engaged, nor planning to get engaged. In fact, Lauren Conrad’s rep tells news Monday that the Post’s article is “totally false”.

In 2009, Lauren Conrad admitted her departure from The Hills helped her rebuild her private life. Now with those cameras (at least for now) still not turned back on Conrad, some news reports (and at least the Post’s report today) have been unsuccessful in updating fans of the MTV star’s private life.

But could that change?

In October 2010, LALATE broke that Lauren Conrad is returning to reality TV on MTV. “The only way I’d return to reality television  would be if it allowed me to decide when the cameras stop,” Conrad told news in fall 2010. And while LC had pitched her new program to multiple networks, Lauren Conrad’s reality show will return to her first home at MTV after it won the broadcast rights.

And how about films?

Conrad has previously confirmed that she is adapting her massively successful books into a feature film(s).     “We’re hoping for a movie deal. I’m working on [adapting the book for the movies] right now, but I don’t want to commit to anything until I see all my options. We have had a lot of exciting news in that respect, though” she told news in fall 2010.

Tony DiSanto Exits MTV for Electus

Tony DiSanto Exits MTV for Electus

SANTA MONICA (LALATE) – Tony DiSanto and Liz Gateley have left MTV for Electus. Tony DiSanto after two decades at MTV is leaving as president of programming along with Gateley, senior vice president for development. Their next stop is Ben Silverman’s company Electus. DiSanto exit comes at a peculiar time for the network.

Lauren Conrad is returning and Jersey Shore and is soaring. “The only way I’d return to reality television would be if it allowed me to decide when the cameras stop,” Conrad has said. Lauren Conrad’s reality show return comes after months of networks allegedly fighting for broadcast rights. MTV won that fight under DiSanto. Conrad said of MTV in 2009 that “putting my personal relationships and struggles on television wasn’t always easy.” Yet she still missed her home at MTV. “A part of me is sad to say goodbye to something that has been such a prominent part of my life, but I know that it was time and I am very happy with my decision.” Conrad gave DiSanto on The Hills roughly 3 million viewers weekly.

Kristin Cavallari has called the network as home to engaging  but added “nothing you see on TV is real. Fans need to understand it’s all entertainment. It’s all in fun. I would never put my close friends or a real relationship on a show.” The Kristin Cavallari Brody Jenner relationship on “The Hills” was completely fake, says Kristin.

David Janollari is expected to replace the exiting DiSanto.

Lauren Conrad Gets New MTV Reality Show

Lauren Conrad Gets New MTV Reality Show

LOS ANGELES (LALATE) – Lauren Conrad is returning to MTV for a new reality show, but it’s nothing like The Hills. Lauren Conrad’s reality show return comes after months of networks allegedly fighting for broadcast rights. While the format of the show has yet to be confirmed, Conrad has previously confirmed to news that she wants to return, on her own terms. Among them, LC has expressed a new exec-produced reality show will allow her to turn off the cameras at her desired moment. “The only way I’d return to reality television would be if it allowed me to decide when the cameras stop,” she previously told US Magazine.

At only age 24, Conrad has spent much of her time on the small screen. And despite notable entries into fashion, LC’s big cash payday success has been publishing.

Previous LALATE news reports have noted Conrad’s plans to convert her best sellers into feature films. Conrad has confirmed the news, much after the success of her first book.     “We’re hoping for a movie deal. I’m working on [adapting the book for the movies] right now, but I don’t want to commit to anything until I see all my options. We have had a lot of exciting news in that respect, though.”

Conrad had said the departure from the Hills was bittersweet. For fans, including LALATE, The Hills wasn’t the same show after LC’s exit. One season later, The Hills was no more.

Conrad admitted at the time it was hard to leave television viewers since they ahve layed “such a prominent part” of her life. And while LC was “very happy” at the time with her decision, she was content with her exit from tv. Yet, viewers and fans were never quite sure why Lauren Conrad left television.

Considering her new return, compared against her statements on leaving the Hills in 2009, it appears that Conrad’s departure was because of the evasiveness of production shooting at the time, far beyond her control. She said in 2009 that “putting my personal relationships and struggles on television wasn’t always easy.”

The question clearly LALATE and viewers might wonder is what type of ratings Conrad without a protagonist will pull in. The Hills without LC pulled less than 2 million viewers. Conrad the season before pulled roughly 3 million viewers.
