Taylor Swift Invites Kevin McGuire to ACM Awards 2012
LOS ANGELES (LALATE) – Taylor Swift has invited Kevin McGuire to the ACM Awards 2012. Kevin McGuire is a leukemia patient who recently made news asking Swift to his senior high school prom. Swift has now responded by inviting McGuire as her date to the upcoming ACM (Academy of Country Music) Awards in Las Vegas.
Kevin McGuire was first diagnosed with leukemia at age thirteen. Currently he takes reportedly thirty-five pills a night. A Facebook page was set up by Kevin’s family member to detail his fight with leukemia. “When I started this page I had no idea it would spread like this! I thought only my 200 Facebook friends would see it! This is not an invitation to the Sterling Prom, rather a support in numbers! Clicking join increases our numbers, and increases our chances of Taylor seeing out page and agreeing to go to the prom with my brother.”
Kevin asked Swift to be his date for his prom reportedly on June 1. Swift replied with even better news. “Kevin, I’m so sorry but I won’t be able to make it to your prom. But I was wondering, the ACM (Academy of Country Music) Awards are coming up. Would you be my date? Love, Taylor.”
McGuire, according to EXTRA, reportedly replied that the Las Vegas and the ACM is “a lot better than the senior prom.” The family added “Thank you so so so so much! The McGuire family could never show how grateful we are to all of you.
