She tells FOXNews.com (reported by the Star ) that Mario Lopez and her were dating for “on and off for the past 11 months” and that “during that time, he had told her he was only with Karina due to contractual obligations, according to the report.”

Say what?

Meaghan Cooper says she’s known Lopez since she was 18 but met him again while she was bartending at hooters in San Antonio. She’s now 22.

Ironically, Cooper was already in the media glare but perhaps not identified. She was snapped by the Star with Lopez partying at the Harrahs in New Orleans in 2007. OUCH!

And how’s this for timing … Meagahan stars on the new ABC Reality show “I Survived A Japanese Game Show” that premieres in just days on June 24. In her bio for the show says she “uses her sex appeal to her advantage in both her work and professional life.” Oh boy.

Meantime over at E! Cooper says that Lopez lied about Karina and didn’t do a good job trying to cover it up. “He told me he lived alone,” recalls Cooper, “but I opened up [his] closet and saw a row of women’s shoes and said, ‘Either you are a cross-dresser or a woman is living here.’.. Mario said Karina just left her stuff there and was moving it out. He kept telling me that he and Karina were broken up.”

She tells E! that Lopez told her not to talk to press.

“He’s like, ‘You’re not supposed to talk to [press],’ but when you make me look like a total whore, I’m going to tell somebody about it,” “

No comment from Lopez or Smirnoff.

… but how they don’t want to spend the rest of their life together!

Why do celebrities feel compelled to say how charming the other person, line after line, when they break up? Why don’t they say, “yeah, we broke up, I don’t want to date that person anymore.”

The two met on the 2006 season 3 of ABC’s Dancing with the Stars.

In April, widespread rumors said the two had already split. They denied those rumors then.

Page Six reported earlier this morning that Karina and Mario Number 2 were kissing at a Mercedes-Benz party in February.

But Karina says, na, there is only Mario in her life, Lopez.

“We have a completely professional relationship, I have a lot of respect for Mario, he is a great person, but there is nothing there, just a VERY professional relationship, that is all.”
