In the first of two “Hills” stories this morning here on LALATE, both girls are rumored to be back with the men they said they would never give another chance.

Back in winter 2007, Audrina Patridge called it quits with motorcycle-riding boyfriend Justin “Bobby” Brescia.

Audrina told US Weekly back then “I caught him doing something he shouldn’t have been doing and it was just the last straw.” She referred to an October 15 fight with him outside OPERA nightclub in Los Angeles in which a source said he was “making out with a red-headed girl right in front of Audrina, and when she confronted him about it he laughed in her face.”

Patridge told the magazine, “It was one of the hardest nights ever I’ve had to deal with. And it was on camera too. … I don’t feel like he’s giving it all …. I’m always there for him no matter what, and sometimes I don’t feel like it’s mutual.”

A spy said it worse “Whenever they’d go out, he’d ignore her. He would never return her calls, never ask her on dates.”

Now that same magazine is back asking what’s up with Patridge this time around, after she was spotted with him (ironically when the cameras were around) at Dolce this week.

Real or fake?

“The Hills star laughed when asked by Usmagazine.com if the pair are back on. “Maybe,” she responded at the Maxim Hot 100 party in Hollywood Wednesday. (Patridge rated No. 74, behind Heidi Montag and Lauren Conrad.) “I don’t know,” she added. “If things get hard I always go back to Justin. “

“He is one of my good friends,” Patridge explained. “I’ve known him forever. I knew him before the show and I know he’ll be there after. He’s very supportive.”

Is it real … or just a lot of playing it up for the camera?
