J.R. Rotem’s new nickname is J.R.JDate! Yes, the man who text messaged InTouch Magazine recently to tell them (as a joke) that he had impregnanted pop music singer Britney Spears has a JDate profile. God, imagine what he would text message you!

Oh, and it get’s better. J.RJdate’s page tells girls that if you date him you’ve hit “the jackpot”! Oh, how modest of him!

He writes:

“Hey girls… Congrats for stumbling onto my profile - you just hit the jackpot! I am Jonathan, an established music producer who is having a challenging time meeting a hot Jewish girl with good values. The success and visibility I have earned in the music industry keeps me surrounded by the wrong girls (golddiggers, cheap chicks, wannabe artists looking to use a guy like me for a music career, money, fame, etc) Some personality traits that seperate me from most of the people I know in Los Angeles is a high moral code of honesty and loyalty. I would never cheat or lie to anyone I’m with as I believe in treating others as you would want to be treated. I think that those values are the fundamental part of establishing a meaningful relationship. That, and intense physical attraction…”

” Contrary to the statement J.R. Rotem released on November 28, In Touch has documented proof that on Monday, November 26, the music producer did indeed confirm in these text messages that Britney is pregnant and that he is the father. When asked about rumors about Britney’s pregnancy and whether he is the father, J.R. texted “It’s true.” And when questioned about Britney’s intentions regarding her unborn baby, he responded, “No clue on what she will do. She is unpredictable.”

Anyway, back to the baby reports.

In Touch Magazine which ran an article with JR Rotem saying he is the dad. Then OK Magazine, clearly in competition with InTouch, ran an article that said sources close to Brit are furious, says it’s untrue, and wants to sue InTouch. A friend close to Spears text messaged Ryan Seacrest and told him similarly its untrue.

Now InTouch is back for round 3, saying we have a direct quote from the future daddy!

In Touch news editor Paola Leva has issued the following statement: ”We aren’t surprised that her people are trying to put out fires. Fact is, we have it confirmed by the dad, J.R. [Rotem].”

If this is too much to follow, the Chicago Sun Times does a great explanation of this mess:

 First, In Touch Weekly broke the news the pop tart will pop out another kid by next summer. The magazine says the father is music producer J.R. Rotem, who Spears has been casually dating (maybe not so casually!) since splitting with husband Kevin Federline. The magazine quotes Rotem, who helped produce Spears’ new album, as confirming the pregnancy and his paternity.

Within hours Wednesday, In Touch competitor People magazine’s online edition quoted Spears’ friend Sam Lufti as saying, ”It’s just B.S. [A] big lie.” According to People.com, Lufti claimed Spears ”laughed about the story,” denying In Touch’s report she was four weeks pregnant.

I then went back to In Touch news editor Paola Leva, who stood behind the magazine’s story, e-mailing, ”We aren’t surprised that her people are trying to put out fires. Fact is, we have it confirmed by the dad, J.R. [Rotem].” Leva said the magazine had gone back to Rotem Wednesday to reconfirm the original story and his quotes, including his claim that Spears e-mailed a copy of her ultrasound photo of her baby to her best pals Nov. 16.

Yet, my own Spears sources are saying Britney isn’t pregnant, and a close Spears insider insists Rotem swore to her that he didn’t talk to In Touch, but calls for official comment both from Spears spokespeople and Rotem were not returned by press time.
