Joe Biden OOPS! Biden has revealed his VP Bunker is under the old U.S. Naval Observatory says reports. The Biden Bunker was suppose to be top secret. That was until Biden started to babble about it this weekend, reports Newsweek.

The VP bunker is reportedly less than a decade old, constructed in 2002. Is it time to now find a new location thanks to Joe?

The Biden slip went down this weekend at Washington’s annual Gridiron Club dinner. Newsweek’s Eleanor Clift reports Biden just casually chatted about the top secret spot while walking into the dinner, telling people at the event the location is the old U.S. Naval Observatory.

“[Biden] said a young naval officer giving him a tour of the residence showed him the hideaway, which is behind a massive steel door secured by an elaborate lock with a narrow connecting hallway lined with shelves filled with communications equipment.

“The officer explained that when Cheney was in lock down, this was where his most trusted aides were stationed, an image that Biden conveyed in a way that suggested we shouldn’t be surprised that the policies that emerged were off the wall.”

The video tape scandal report was broke late Saturday here on LALATE.

Thomas Dunlap, then attorney for the tape’s seller, reportedly showed the tape to at least RadarOnline, claims the website. By Sunday, Dunlap reportedly ended his representation of the client, says Radar:

Dunlap told RadarOnline.com early Sunday that he is no longer involved in the attempted sale of the video and informed his client he would not continue to represent him. The lawyer said he did not want to be involved due to circumstances surrounding the publicity of the matter.

Joe Biden still has not commented at a summit in Chile (as of Saturday). Ashley Biden is 27, a social worker with the Delaware Department of Children, Youth and Families. Biden also sits on the board of the Delaware YWCA organization.

Both reports, from Radar Online and the New York Post, are authored within the late hours of Saturday, yet its unclear what day the two saw the alleged tape. While the two different on some respects as to the tape and its claims, they agree on the woman .

Reports are inconsistent as to whether a deal has been inked for the tape’s release, or even a financial bid for the tape’s sale. Unlike Radar’s report of the tape’s shopping, the Post claims an offer has been made, without any detail if the offer has been accepted:

“An American media company offered $250,000 for the footage and access to the person who shot the tape, according to the lawyers. Another company, based overseas, offered $225,000, they said. “

Could the tape ever appear public? The Post claims sales figures initially were at $2 million, dropped into the $400,000 range, and some news agency (not named) has offered $250,000 for it.

“An American media company offered $250,000 for the footage and access to the person who shot the tape, according to the lawyers. Another company, based overseas, offered $225,000, they said. “

The Post and Radar refused to purchase the tape. No comment by yet by the Bidens.

Joe Biden’s mother, Catherine Eugenia “Jean” Biden, has been hospitalized. Jean Biden is in the hospital and doing well, says Joe’s rep today. Jean is 91.

Jean suffered a fall over the weekend at her home in Delaware. Jean is now in the University of Pennsylvania Hospital in Philadelphia. Joe Biden’s rep has issued the following statement moments ago:

“[Jean] is currently receiving treatment and is in good spirits.”

Jean was admitted Sunday. No other details are being released.

LALATE broke the details earlier today. Since then this video has played more times on CNN than a Britney Spears publicity video on MTV.

Jill and Joe Biden appeared on Oprah for an upcoming interview taped in D.C. But during that interview Jill Biden slipped, revealing that Obama offered first dibs on Secretary of State or Vice President to Biden, and that Hillary basically got seconds.

Since then the Biden camp has issued a clarification statement that is almost as long as this video. As one anchor said on CNN today, after 20 years in the business you know as a reporter if the clarification statement is that long it was a slip I[ in the first place.

And ironically, Jill Biden’s words have been the biggest news story out of the Inauguration today. Clearly, not what the Obama camp had intended.
